FOTR is definitely my favorite of the 3, but as I watch this, I just cannot wait to see Rohan, Helm's Deep, and Eomer. Giant man-crush on that guy.

Of course, if you don't want to answer it, I'll respect that.
"

You're seriosly just trolling now, I don't know how you identified my PM to you as "snide" and "creepy".

And you still didn't give a clear answer, which further suggests you as a troll.
Please don't accuse me of being a troll. I'm not, I answered your question, which was a question based on a statement that you made up and attached to me! I don't think this is the definitive version of FOTR, I never said that I did.

And sending PM to somebody in the middle of the night is weird. Whichever way you want to look at it. It's also antagonistic, and I don't really appreciate that sort of behaviour.

Ian Mckellen.

I can think of any other number of people who could've done Liv Tyler's role just fine, or even Aragorn's.... but after seeing the movies so many times I can't think of anyone else who could've done Gandalph. He "was" Gandalph.

I think Sean Bean (who played Boromir) would've made an excellent Aragorn.

Completely unrelated, but he's going to be Eddard Stark in a Game of Thrones on HBO, which should be friggin awesome.

All of the 'personal bickering' needs to move to PMs and not be aired out in this thread please.

Or you guys can just wait for a mod to come along and remove your posts and maybe give infractions.

The second time he says, "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" is by FAR my favorite moment of the first film.

Pure awesome.

True. And reading a crystal ball is certainly solid science as well.

Gladiator
Fifth Element
Gangs of New York... ring any bells?

You may believe it to be true, but promising is foolish.

I like Bean in general, but his performance has always bugged me. As has Sean Astin's.

Maybe I hate Seans.

I can't picture anyone besides Mortenson as Aragorn.

There are a few I did enjoy their performances in the movie

Viggo was actualy very good as Aragorn (more so when you think it was suppose to be Stuart Townsend in the role)

McKellen is amazing as Gandalf

Bernard Smith was not too bad a Theoden

I like Sean Astin as Sam, he's the only one of the four who sort of nail the character

IMO

I like Sean Bean in the few roles I've seen him, and I also liked him in LotR....but I didn't like the character of Boromir.

Farimir (spelling?) ftw

Am I the only one who despised Frodo?

...except Wood. I just wanted to beat Frodo to death with a blunt instrument for 3 movies straight he was so annoying. Unless he was supposed to be...then in that case he nailed it

That's pretty rude, Todd.

Also, what Stinky said is untrue.

This was the full text of my PM:
Quote:
It's not a nonsense screen-name, MJ Bethancourt is my actual name. I think phony identities are for trash-talking cyber-cowards.

Got any other rude and obnoxious remarks, or will you just stick with insulting my name for now?
That's hardly rambling or ranting, and it's more-or-less exactly what I posted in the thread about 30 minutes later. Also, he never replied to that PM with anything.

The two of you certainly like to talk a lot of trash and tell people to shut up and go away if you disagree with them.

I feel the same way about Mortenson. He was great as Aragorn but his voice gets a little.... "froggy"... when he raises it. When he yells shit like "Gather your men!" it sounds like Kermit is trying to escape from his lungs. Listen for it. You won't be able to unhear it.

Interesting, I never caught that before.

How would you compare his voice to Bale's in Dark Knight? Which is worse?

I swear, Bale's never bothered me until I read about everyone complaining about it here. lol
