Why has this thread been moved to "Wish Lists"? It says that "Wish Lists" are for unannounced Blu-rays. This HAS BEEN announced in April 2010.

Yes I know, but some uninformed person moved it to the "Wish List" forum, which CLEARLY states that it is for UNANNOUNCED Blu-rays. Well LOTR is NOT unannounced. That was the reason for my post.

what no 7.1 soundtrack sorry but i will not buy i hope the extended editions do otherwise it wont be worth it sence new line converted with warner everything has gone downhill

They were mixed in 5.1 for theatrical viewings, I don't know why it should be different for the home theater.

The EE's soundtracks were rescored with 6.1 on DVD. I expect they will be 6.1 or 7.1 on BD, and I think people are expecting the same for the Theatricals.

If we have to wait for the Hobbit movie release in order to get the EE Blu-rays it looks like we may have to wait longer now.

hey guys! first post on this site, so just sayin hi!

secondly, i am also very uypset we arent geting the EE's. im totally new to the blu ray technology, i just got a HDTV around Chiristmas and seeing the quality difference between DVD's and blu ray, i just had to upgrade. i just got blu ray for my 50" HDTV and the movies look amazing on blu ray dvd's, even older movies. but i am now just realizing that alot of my favorite movies have not yet gotten to blu ray. cmon! LOTR's seemed a given by now, along with star wars. it is by and large my absolute favorite action/adventure trilogy ever! yes, even more then star wars and indiana jones, etc. and all we're getting is the theatrical versions?? i mean, i guess we should be glad we're getting LOTR's at all, but still....

anyway, i try watching the EE DVD's on my HDTV but the quality is just so not there, and its dissapointing. these are movies to watch in HD quality! ill more then likely pick up the theatrical versions on blu ray. but i dont know how long before they get out those blu ray EE's though, i would assume not TOO long of a wait.

however, this did give me hope: the dvd will include "previews for the extended versions of the films (which will come out on Blu-ray "at a later date")".

And like I said in the other place this link was: Why is Ian Holm in the poster as Bilbo? I thought he was too old to be in the Hobbit.
