Actually, some of those kinda remind me of DVD...
Think you just have to have a good eye and idea what you're looking at.

That would not be too surprising actualy. Some of these demands on contracts can be weird

Narrow is the wrong word to use when describing a vertical dimension. I cant believe you graduated pre-school.

Absolutely. But what are the reasons?

I think the only day it is acceptable is April 1st personally

Not the size, the quality...
Look at Frodo's eyes or face in the first one for example,
there seems to be slight blocking or some kind of straight lines.

I also noticed a weird thing in the 3rd image you linked,
on the top left of the ring there's some kind of weird horizontal line.
What's up with flaws like that?...

The good screenshots still outweigh the bad ones for as far as I've seen though.
A whole bunch are impressive, a smaller bunch are... not good, for Blu-ray.

I love giving you a hard time because you "get it"

Which is amazing, considering how slow you are.

How in the world did you spot that

I had to zoom in and get right up on the screen to see it.

So what about the 2 here that have seen it and are saying they don't look as bad as those bad screen shots that have been posted. And no reviewer has said it looks as bad as the DVD all has said it is an upgrade

And the screenshots i posted is not bad at all they do show detail

I don't know, I just had a look at the details.
But what I do is just look at the image at 100%, not smaller and not zoomed in either.
I just have a quite regular-sized monitor too, but it's very sharp.

For the first part it's just that the quality, like some of those flaws you can see,
just remind me of what some films looks like on DVD.
Not that it's just as bad as DVD, cause first of all the resolution is already larger and it is a new transfer.
Yet it's not flawless as you can see, even though there is more detail than on DVD obviously.

It might definitely looks better in motion too, that's usually the case.
But... with screenshots you put the image under the microscope as it were,
so it's a clearer way to see what the quality is actually like.

I bet it looks great in motion, but perhaps still not as good as transfers
that are considered better by most people.

Paul and Adam plese tell us that this picture is complete false on how it looks?
I took a very similar screenshot from that exact scene for my review. Looking at the image I took (as we speak), I can attest that the lefthand portion of the comparison is exactly what the scene on the Blu-ray edition looks like, heavy DNR and all. Worse, the DNR is as noticeable in motion as it is in the static image. Sorry guys, I wish I could say otherwise, but it's the truth. If our screenshots were still live, you could see the striking (or not-so-striking, as it were) similarities for yourselves.

[Show spoiler]

Notice righthand Gandalf is still soft, but not the same breed of soft as lefthand Gandalf

Several people who saw my screenshots even sent me a PM to verify that I hadn't posted DVD screenshots for comparison purposes. I had to assure them that they were taken from the BD.
