Went to Target this morning and got my copy of the trilogy. Didn't even need to show the cashier the ad because it rang up $7.99 anyway!

I got my order in from Amazon today...perfect timing too. Shipping was only 2 days.

I just popped in Fellowship to scan some scenes...talk about breath taking. I may never look at my extended dvds again. It looks gorgeous in hi def.

I got my copy of the trilogy for $7.99. I don't like the movies a lot, but I like them enough to get them for that price. Of course I went on Wednesday and hid a copy behind some Toy Story blankets. Only had to wait an hour and a half in line behind some nasty lady who kept farting every five minutes too. I hate Black Friday, but I love that deal.

I NEED ADVICE! I just bought all three in their separate cases packagings not in the box sets. While watching "Fellowship" today I noticed that there were random sections in which static exploded out of my speakers. My system is powered by a Yamaha 465, and I am running two Polk TSI 300 floorstandings, a Polk CS10 center, and Polk PSW110 sub. My towers are only about a year old and they have no problems with any other Blu Ray or the assorted video games I play. I have NEVER heard them do this before. I actually return exchanged Fellowship today and it still does it. And it is only on particular sections and only for a few seconds. Return of the king does it as well i havent tried two towers yet. Please help...I'm actually a Home Theater Senior for Best Buy and i have never heard anything like this. Appreciate any feedback...

Heh. I did the same thing. Well, I hid mine in a desk drawer in the furniture section. Didn't even have to wait in line this morning. Went to Target around 8am and it was right where I left it!

I thought that was just for Onkyo receivers? His 465 was made well after the DTS bomb issue so I doubt its that.

Yamahas, along with Onkyo, were affected as well (using the same DSP program).

The 605 is a 2008 model so yes, it probably is affected. Onkyo's '05 series were the first DTS-MA capable and there is a flaw in DTS' encoding method causing the noise spikes. This was discovered and the decoding DSP app re-written. You can apply the DSP update yourself or take it to an authorized Onkyo service center...check your warranty status first.

Did you even read what I said? I'm pretty sure your 465 is too new to have the DTS bomb. That problem was for receivers 2 years ago.
