I'm not going to quote the full message, as that would defeat the very purpose of my post. You may want to, like, not provide your order number. Just, y'know, 'cause. Not that every single person on the internet can't be trusted.

That said, I got the same email. And on the "Open and Recently Shipped Orders" page, there's an orange button that says "Revise order now" where it's normally that light brown button that says "View of change order". Also, in dark red font to the left of said button, it says: Order Status: Your approval required

Hmmm...

I watched my DVD of the extended version of FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING. It got me all excited for LORD OF THE RINGS eventual release on BD. I must confess, audio-wise I expect this film to be reference!

Holding off for extended editions, no need to double dip and as the running times released are suspect in length, best advice considering what'll be out later this year in terms of catalog & summer flicks.

I might actually just get the theatrical releases and pass on the extended editions.

I have the extended editions on DVD already and there's almost 0 market for them on eBay.

I agree about the work part, it does require a pretty big commitment to watch the extended version

It requires a pretty big time commitment just to watch the regular versions, like 10 hours. That's definitely why I wouldn't get the extendeds, even if they were offered first.

I never understood why people only want the extended versions.

I had both on DVD and would watch the theatrical editions more. I liked not having to change the disc in the middle of the movie and the theatrical cut is what I saw in the theaters... Seemed fun at the time.

I don't like ALL of the added stuff in the extended versions and these movies are long enough for me without making them longer.

(I will likely own both versions on Blu though eventually... )
