Got my order in for the 3CD/BD set. I am sure it will be around $60 by release time. Now just announce the other two.

Is this right? It states that it is the trilogy and extended editions but only $12.99? What’s going on?

The pic is wrong, it's the motion picture trilogy. I think it has movie cash too.

Yeah that makes more sense. Although I could buy it and see if they honor the picture(I won’t but I could).

It shows a release date of 02/20/2018 at the top, and then in product details 03/13/2018, weird. I placed an order anyway since I'm planning to go to BB tomorrow.

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like it is just a new version of the theatrical edition set with Ready Player One moviecash included.

Amazon has the extended edition Blu ray set on sale. Has anybody had any luck with the digital codes still working? Wanted to wait for 4k but if digital still works might go ahead and grab them at the price.

You can always do the Vudu Disc to Digital for a few bucks each to get the digital copies.

I got my set as a Christmas gift in 2016. It came with the digital copy paper and wouldn't let me redeem, so I contacted Warner Bros and sent them pictures of my set and the digital copy paper and they put them in my collection. Had the same experience with The Dark Knight. So if you get a set that does come with digital copies there is at least a possibility they'll give them to you if you send them proof, at least from my experiences. They may be more strict about it now though, no clue.

I don't "hate" you for that, but I can't take you seriously when you say you used Vivid mode and motion interpolation. These films were meant to be be watched on a calibrated set at 24 fps.

Now, I DO use frame/motion interpolation on The Hobbit trilogy (and ONLY The Hobbit trilogy) because it is 3D AND was meant to be viewed in 48 fps. Since the Blu-rays were not produced at 48fps (and motion blur is affected by the frame rate in which the movie was shot), motion interpolation is the closest I can get to 48fps. I did see An Unexpected Journey at the theater in 3D 48fps and using motion interpolation is definitely close.

Yeah, makes everything look like a live news video feed to me. Very un-filmic.

Yesterday evening I was watching Disc 1 from my Blu-Ray copy of the Extended Edition of The Fellowship of the Ring. During the seventy-three to seventy-six minute mark the disc skipped and froze. I also tried it on another Blu-Ray player and it did the same thing.

The disc never did this before.

Is there any way I can get a replacement disc from the Studio? If I can who do I contact?

I don't know how they are about issuing replacement discs, but it does not appear that there is a separate CS office for New Line. It appears you would have to contact WB via this form.

https://www.warnerbros.com/customer-service

Other than that, here is the info for their New York office.

https://addresscustomerservicecenter...w-Line-Cinema/

Though I doubt this latter address would be of much help in this instance.

Thanks for the links, I'll try contacting Warner Bros. If they can't send me a replacement disc I guess I'll buy the individual version of the Extended Edition of The Fellowship of the Ring and I'll replace my defective Disc 1 from my boxset with the Disc 1 from the individual version. I don't mind doing that because I've seen the individual versions of the Extended Editions for as low as $8.00 but I want to see if Warner Bros can send me a replacement disc first.

I don't know how a disc that is in mint condition that used to play perfectly can all of a sudden freeze up and glitch.

Has anyone been able to find the individual release of the Return of the King extended edition? I've tried everywhere.

If price isn't a concern, eBay has one (not mine): https://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Lord-of...IAAOSwfuBazOfF
