I'm a litle behind on this, but what's up with the part 1 and part 2s?

It's almost a given that I won't get the Hobbit films when they debut on Blu Ray in a few years so I might as well get while the getting's good.
The Hobbit is 2 years away from it's THEATRICAL release and you have already decided you won't be buying it's bluray? This is absolutely asinine, congrats.

Same here. Since the special features are identical and I prefer the DVD EE packaging, I am considering replacing the DVD EE movie discs with the Blu-ray EE's and keeping them on the shelf.

On the discs? Each movie is split on 2 BD discs (just like they were split on 2 DVD's during the initial release).

Finally pre-ordered. It won't be long now before we have it!

I don't want to get rid of my EE DVD's because of the awesome packaging. Haha..

I won't be doing that. I really like the Blu-ray box, but I just don't like it as much as I like the DVD version. I do love the foldable map in this one though. Nice touch.

unless you look real close, you can't tell the difference between these and the 1,2, or 3 disc vivas. They're just a bit fatter... 15 mm as opposed to 12.5 mm. They will look just like the Blade Runner case (unless one has the super fat original release) or the cases that TV seasons come in, like Fringe, CSI, Supernatural, or anything WB for that matter. Don't worry they'll be good.

I kinda like they used black BD cases. I'd like to see more of those used on future releases.

I thought I remember the original Iron Man release having a QC issue that was discovered about a week before the release date. Paramount managed to re-press all the corrected discs and got them out in time.

I'm sure this is a bigger issue to fix, but I bet they'd be able to get new discs pressed pretty quickly.

Does anyone have contact info for WB? Based on all this information, I want to start complaining to them now, instead of waiting until they actually come out, or read a review on this forum.

I'm really not sure if you're being serious or trying to make a sarcastic comment...

Somebody will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought all Warner releases were region free?
