Obviously just going and tinting an entire film green is a mistake. The question is whether it was an intentional mistake or a unintentional mistake.
To a lot of people this film is a precious thing indeed. Taking the gross step of turning the green knob would be something I'd think Jackson would just not do simply because it's too gross. Look at all the detail sweat that went into making that film. He'd be tossing that out the window. At least he'd use some sort of post processing that applied color grading on a scene by scene basis. I'd lose a lot of respect for Jackson if he came out and said oh yeah baby I cranked the green knob all the way to 11. It would be like finding out there was no Santa Claus. So I am going with unintentional and giving Jackson the benefit of the doubt. Hope it turns out to be unintentional. |

Amazon probably has everything pre-staged at UPS facilities. All they have to do is push the go button so shipped doesn't mean anything. With that said I don't expect it until Tues.

Nobody is saying the movie looks green throughout. But there is a green tint applied throughout. There's a difference between the two. I agree with Ken Brown's assessment of the situation. EVERYONE SHOULD READ HIS MESSAGE:

I was looking at the screen comparison in the UK thread where they showed the same scene from TE and EE. All I can say is wow! I'll take a slightly green tint for that kind of image improvement. The difference in quality is jaw dropping. The EE , hands down, is superior. Order placed!!!
