I could totally understand if there were certain scenes that had been altered with an enhanced green, but it just seems unlikely to me that Peter Jackson would want to apply the shift toward green to the entire movie. Even if it were his intent to change the color for the entire movie that still doesn't explain why the titles and menu screens exhibit the tint as well. Shouldn't the menu's be consistent between the three movies?

Too much black/white, chaotic evil/lawful good, you're wrong/we're right on this whole issue. Green tint gone, I wouldn't have a single issue worth mentioning about this xfer. It's not a travesty, it just deserves better. I have to admit I'm having a pretty good laugh at the guys swearing up and town "their version" has no tint, though. It's one thing to not care or not even notice, but to be that thoroughly convinced you're right about something is flat-out fanatical, and would be a little frightening if it weren't regarding a home-video release. |

You would do us all a favor if you posted some screen caps. If it IS NOT there, we will all be able to see it with our own eyes. If you have a Blu-ray player on your computer, just a screen capture is all that is needed.

Sign me up, I already took my shirt off on the previous page so anything I can do to make this even gayer should be seriously considered. Last edited by Stinky-Dinkins; 07-03-2011 at 11:36 PM. |

Again..no green tint on my screen. You want to come and see...that is the way to prove it. We'll see how big your mouth is at that time. Like the other poster said, it is easy to blast your mouth and ridicule others behind a keyboard. You'd probably think twice before doing that in public.

I'm not sure if you're misunderstanding me. I haven't gone through ROTK yet, but TT definitely has a number of instances of regrading in particular scenes. The changes are mostly pretty subtle, but if you watch the TE and EE versions side by side you'll see that there are a lot of changes made to individual scenes in the EE version. If we consider the final result of TT, including these changes, and compare it to the scene-specific color changes made to FOTR BEFORE THE GREEN TINT AND CONTRAST BOOST, the end result is that the two films are more consistent than they used to be. However, the application of the green tint and contrast boost to FOTR undo the consistency achieved by the scene-specific coloring of FOTR. Do you understand what I'm saying? |

![]() You bastards scared me out of getting the set on release week! I've already decided to get it anyway this coming week, but the article was certainly reassuring. |
