The second one is more bearable because you don't really have to watch the screen. A ticking clock is worse.

The first would only be bearable if there was something new recurring in those ten hours, but since it's almost the same loop of 2 minutes or so then I couldn't do it lol.

I lasted about 4 hours yesterday. And, guess what I'm listening to RIGHT NOW?

It's quite a catchy tune actually.

Also very easy to notice the tint when they are on the Mountain when Frodo slips and drops the ring, the wizard battle, and when Ghandalf is arriving at Biblos house

I lasted seven minutes, I'm a lightweight

Seriously thanks though-- I can never watch that part of the movie the same again. I'm gonna laugh now whenever he says that.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I just found it at a Canadian Walmart for $40.

It is, I listened to about 3 minutes, had to stop and do something, listened to about 3 more and noticed that it was the same every 2 minutes or so. I stopped because I don't want to attempt even 20 minutes. But I probably could have, if in the mood.

Thanks for all the replies!
Thanks for the head's up. I finally purchased this and made sure I found the one copy (out of 4) at Best Buy that stated it had the digital copies. FYI according to the package they expire in a couple of weeks.

Here are a boat load of screens for those who may be on the fence about picking it up. Hell, download a few for your own enjoyment. Follow the link for each image and click on the screen for the full, lossless 1920x1080 resolution.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Extended Edition

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Extended Edition

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Extended Edition

The extended releases probably won't be released separately. At any rate, I purchased the boxed set during the Christmas season and I got it for $15 at Best Buy (long story). I have yet to actually sit down and watch it because of long long the entire thing is. One of these days, I'm hoping to set aisde some time to watch all three films.

You can always check eBay and see if someone will eventually sell them one at a time, probably the closest you will get to single releases.

You own it and haven't watched it! I watch it like once a fortnight!
