Definitely will, though it won't be until this weekend. Of course, even if I confirm there is no green problem, I'm sure I'll be slammed by all of the "experts" around here basing their opinions on clips and pictures from originally God-knows where. It's really quite comical to read at times. Not saying it doesn't exist, but prefer to reserve judgement based on what I see with the actual BD in MY system.

Just because it may be intentional doesn't mean it's not an error.

No matter what Jackson intended, green snow is an error - even in Middle Earth.

Um, no. A deliberate artistic choice is never an "error", although you are of course free to disagree with said choice.

I am wondering about something. I don't plan to get this set until it is maybe around $40-$50 but I am wondering about FBI Warnings and stuff like that on the 2nd disc. I would hate to have to go through FBI warnings and all that other trash on both discs.

So whoever has the set, how do they deal with this? Do you have to see the warnings and stuff on disc 2? Or is it like the Alien Anthology where after ending disc 1 you can insert disc 2 and it skips all the garbage to get to the movie?

Very tempted in getting this at Best Buy with the $5 coupon and a $5 RZ certificate, but I'm not sure if I want to use it for something else.

I'll probably just end up getting it

Of course it's an error: Not a technical one but an error in thinking that this would actually improve the film.

I find it very hard to picture PJ saying "Would you mind adding a putrid green tint to the Fellowship logo? Yeah, that'd be great! But leave the TTT and ROTK logos alone."

Plus, I saw the EE projected last week, and the green tint was not there.

That is the nail in the coffin for me that something went wrong at some point.

You mean a difference of artistic opinion, not an error

That is if it is truly intentional

I think all the adjustments PJ made to the color (which I saw in theaters last week) were improvements. Then at some point, a stupid green tint was added that ruined these improvements.

You absolutely right. This was something I noticed over a week ago. According to review sites, the US edition contains only English, Spanish and Portuguese.

HOWEVER, Amazon (US) has this listed:
Subtitles: Croatian, Czech, English, French, German, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Spanish

while Amazon (UK) lists only English

No one who has the set has answered this quesiton --- I think the reason behind it, is that the DC's aren't active yet (but I could easily be wrong on this one).

These are my favorite times on the internet. A huge release being botched provides many hours killing time at work.

God I can't wait till next week.

I am sorry for those who were really looking forward to these. what a real bummer.
