I don't get it....now you're saying that you never denied that there was a green tint.

I asked you in a previous post:

"As I mentioned...regarding forum members who're saying "a green/cyan tint doesn't even exist" >>>
I'm still waiting for the first member to back it up with a screenshot (not a photo)."

...and you replied with your screenshots which back up that there IS a green/cyan tint.

There is indeed a green tint. I never said there was not one. I am simply saying that it is less pronounced than some other members have made it out to be. There have been several members posting screen caps that look far greener than mine.

However, I'm glad you're among the people who are able to "ignore" the green tint and enjoy the film. Count me among those who are the less fortunate.
So now we're resorting to saying that if people don't see "green" then they need to spend hundereds of dollars for a professional calibration to see it? I hope you're not banking on a replacement program over this theory because it's fact that a very small percentage of TV owners get their sets calibrated, most of them take the tv out of the box and use it as is. You guys are fighting a losing battle.

I think some people like the improvement in contrast and detail and don't care about the green tint. Those who find the tint unintentionally funny are not happy no matter how sharp it looks.

Well...then I don't know why you replied to my post because I specifically mentioned:

They want you to spend hundreds on a calibration so you can see how Incredible Hulk green it is. How silly is that?

If you read a previous post of mine, I told some of you they would resort to that tactic.

When you autocorrected it, the inside of the Balrog's mouth now has a strong white value.

Don't you think the one you yourself corrected looks better than the green tinted one?

Why cite only one instance where online outrage caused an HV distributer to rectify the situation (which the impact of forum complaining is probably less likely the cause of the reissue than reviewers almost universal disdain for the initial pressings), against hundreds of examples to the contrary. Hell, I'll spot you two more where reviews/forum bit¢hing "may" have played a role in titles being re-issued, Let The Right One In (dumping the dub-titles for the theatrical english subtitles), and Gangs of New York (horrible PQ). Of course neither Magnolia, nor BVHV offered any kind of disc exchange for those mis-fires, but they were "fixed". That said, if internet rage made that much of a difference, explain why we don't have new BDs of The French Connection, The Man w/ No Name Trilogy, The Terminator, Robocop, Hannibal, True Romance, every WB release w/ lossy DD tracks(Grindhouse, as well), or almost every Universal catalog release? The answer is simple, because John Q. Public doesn't give a crap, and buys them anyway, or they didn't make enough on their initial release to make it profitable to give it another go. The bottom line is, the reviews were out in plenty of time to cancel orders, and wait to see if the color timing would be corrected (mass order cancelations, and sluggish release week sales may actually have caused WB/Peter Jackson to publicly acknowledge/address the issue), but right or wrong, the only thing WB listens to is their bottom line. To quote the smartest man of our generation, Charlie Sheen to a less than pleased Detroit audience, "I already got your money, dude".

Some moments in the film aren't green but are still affected by the green. Color and "pop" suffers the worst... some characters appear "zombie-like" due to the color of their skin being lost (most apparent when compared to previous versions).

That shot of the hobbits are the worst... it's so messed up.

Default What's with all the screenshots???

I can't believe all you folks are getting out your color calibration tools to make custom screenshots of how you "think" the FOTR should look!

Last time I checked, your name wasn't listed on the directing credits, Peter Jackson's was! You all think if you throw a fit, WB is going to change the films for you, which is ridiculous.

If WB says this is how PJ wanted the films to look, this is how they were supposed to look! Get over it already!

I have watched all three films now on Blu-Ray and they look great! Did not notice a dramatic green presence on FOTR like most of you have sworn by. Sure, it looks green at the beginning, because the Shire is supposed to be green!

Remember, this new print is coming from the ORIGINAL 2K print: its remastered to show the original color and intent of PJ.

Don't you all have families or friends to hang out with instead of bickering about this for almost 500 pages now???

Here's a solution, just watch and enjoy these great films! I have noticed that no one is ever happy with anything on here!

If it wasn't this problem, you would have another issue with something else...
