This is the first time I've heard of such lines. Well at least we have something else to add into the debate though this one will be shot down much faster. It's been quiet in this thread lately.

Did anyone else get this from Amazon only to find that some of the discs are scratched or have fingerprints on them? The BDs are fine, except The Two Towers disc 1 which is covered in fingerprints. However, most DVDs not only have fingerprints on them, but they're also scratched. Also, the box and one of the keepcases were slightly damaged too.

I contacted Amazon and they're sending a replacement and I don't even have to send the original package back.

I've had my copy of LotR since slightly after Black Friday and I still have yet to sit down and watch this trilogy. One of these weekends, I probably will but I just have to budget my time to watch the trilogy. This trilogy is one of those "watch once per year" kind of events because of the length of all three films.

Default LOTR Trilogy EE "must reside in Canada" digital copy question

I just received my "birthday present", the 15 disc extended BD set, from Amazon (which actually came from Super Fast DVDs). The slip-case is partly in French and the Digital Copy requirements state "consumer must reside in Canada...". I'm in the US. Before I even open the plastic, I'll still be able to get my DC and the Canada issue won't cause me any other problems, will it? Is the rest of the set the same as a US version? - If there is such a thing as a "US version".

Thanks, Eric

There are trailers on the Canadian edition if I remember right. One is for The Immortals. The American one, from my understanding, has no trailers.

I'm not sure what will happen with the digital copies. I order from the U.S. all of the time and give the digital copies to a friend who hasn't complained about any issues yet. However, the reverse could be an issue for some reason.

Otherwise, the contents of the package will work as advertised. Blu-ray discs and extra feature DVDs work identically across all of North America regardless of who distributes it. We are both the same region.

Thumbs up

The digital copies downloaded just fine here in the US. I don't know how often I'll watch them compared to my HT, but I want everything that I paid for. (Actually it was a gift, but still...)

Now... it's on to the Marathon!

I was in Toronto over the weekend and saw this was 49.99 at HMV Canada. Couldn't believe I found it that cheap. Sure it's got the Alliance logos but who cares it's still region 1.

The first disc of Fellowship skips on me.
Can I contact WB or someone to get a replacement?
If so can some one tell me how?
I'm in Canada.

Nope, looks like the price has jumped back up. Be patient. I'm sure someone will have a sale on this eventually. Also make sure to check out the movie deals forum here. Whenever something pops up on sale someone posts it here asap.

After trying three different sets and getting duplicate disc 1 and no disc 2 for Return Of The King in all of them I finally just sent them all back to amazon and have given up.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but I found something off about the Fellowship of the Ring disc. There appears to be somewhat of a green tint to the image. Is every copy like this?

You're only like year late on this ... been a huge deal since they came out ... I find nothing wrong with my set and I've popped in the theatrical edition to check. A ton of people have had issues though so idk.

By the way, the best price I've seen is 48.99 on amazon recently. Part of their best deal of the week kind of thing. I got mine Black Friday week for 49.99. How much was the walmart deal?

Wow, around $37? That's awesome. Eh for $12 more (or $8 with taxes) $49 is cool with me.

I created the TE's prologue of FotR using the EE's transfer. It looks marvelous. Should I do the entire movie? If I wasn't recapping LOST on another forum, I'd likely give it a shot.

Since 7 weeks have been deleted, we should argue again about spit discs and the tint changes of the EE. Great

I've watched my set six times since I got it, and I've yet to notice a green tint to FotR. I just. Don't see it. I'unno, maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
