I thought it was the 1977 edition but have just checked and its the 1991 second printing. I doubt id ever sell it, but interesting to know what it could be worth.

Why don't you discuss the DVD version of the Eextended Versions and how they'll transfer to the Blu-ray format?

I made one attempt to bring the thread back to the blu-ray release, but if everyone is happy with continuing their discussion on the novels, it isn't my responsibility to moderate the thread beyond my one attempt. No hard feelings I hope.
I wouldn't let one grumbler bother you.

I've never really understood why people get upset when threads veer off topic a little during down time before something is set to get released. I mean, just because you see a thread gets bumped is no reason to get excited as if new information just came out. The only options are a thread goes stale and never gets touched or else the thread is going to stray somewhat until new news comes out.

And discussing the LotR books is hardly straying from the topic imo. It's not like we started talking about cheeseburgers. We're still on the topic of LotR.

Thanks for sharing, I didn't even know that area existed, I'll check that out, and I'll go there with any further questions.

Why would you, it's relative to the topic(especially considering the blu's won't be here 'til the end of June).

I think we should talk about cottage cheese and why it is more expensive as you move away from either the east or west coast........and WTF is up with oatmeal? Quality Quaker oats is not cheap and the generic stuff sucks!

To keep this on topic, do you think Hobbits eat oatmeal ever???

If one would somehow consider Treebeard to be considered as a man, then it would be Witch King without question.

But I doubt many would try and make that argument, still I would probably given the Witch King the advantage, given how slow Treebeard movies. Not to mention Witch King has a fellbeast he can ride... Treebeard, not so much.

Question

Any chance for UK release to be region free, including region C compatibility?
I just have no idea when the extended editions are going to be released on Blu-ray here in Russia and for what price. I often get UK releases on Amazon cheaper. And besides, this is the kind of movies that have to be watched with original audio anyway.
