I never asked for anyone's opinion on how I should go about buying these. He didn't just imforme of a different way of buying these films. He laughed at me. Maybe some of you like that but I don't. Not only was he wrong about the getting a better deal (I picked up all three of the blues today for 63 plus tax which is cheaper then the box set on amazon) but he was rude. At least I admitted I was wrong afterwards. He's still defending his position and acting like he wasn't being rude

He ignored my post where I was defending him, so if you'll post some pictures of the individual cases, I'll take your side.

Stop acting like a 5 year old and drop it already. This thread is about LOTR and not "HE HURT MY FEELINGS, MOM!".

Staying somewhat on topic: I'm either gonna pick up the boxset or wait for individual release prices to go way down. I wish they made some cheapo release without the extras since I won't be watching them anyway.

I didn't ignore it. I just didn't want to turn the thread into a popularity contest. Thank you though for supporting me.

And I told him twice that I wasn't laughing AT HIM. He seems to be using selective reading against me.

I'm happy that he's happy with his purchase. I hope he enjoys them for a long time.

Seen the individual releases today at barnes and noble but they did not have any slipcovers on them at all.That is unless barnes and nobles removed the slipcovers which they have been known to do.Not sure if they came with slipcovers at all.It could just be the art work made it look like they would have slipcovers.

I found them at Barnes & Noble as well this past Tuesday. No slipcovers here either.

I have seen the slipcovers with my own eyes at FYE. Barnes and Noble must have removed theirs.

Knowing barnes and nobles that could be a very good possibility.Would never pay $29.99 at fye as that is ridiculous.I will eventually just order them from amazon.Was just trying to be sure because I did not want order them only to find out they do not come with the slipcovers as mentioned.

It's never a good idea to go into B&N looking for slipcovers, maybe their dumpster.
