Doubtful, unless it's a really thin panel. Even if it folded, it wouldn't fit back in the sleeve.

I've just replaced the DVDs with the BDs. The individual release case is housing all of my bonus stuff (DVDs, extra Appendices, and Documentary disc).

What kills me about the box set is the covers. The same five actors arranged in a lame floating heads bar. Why not use some of the beautiful artwork by Alan Lee and John Howe? Or even the simple and elegant book design of the outer box and the DVDs? Such a shame. At least the spines were nice.

Doubtful. It's a pretty tight fit as is. But who knows, I haven't tried.

You could definitely swap out the artwork though.

I'm looking at just buying the new slips and just want to know if it'll fit at all.. I guess I could by smaller cases. But then will the case art work fit smaller cases?..

Maybe not... I held off buying them on Amazon because I thought they would be on sale (maybe 19.99 each?) the week they came out at the retailers you listed above. No mention of them at all in their ads though!

hey, just wondering has anybody got any more pictures of these individual releases i.e side views etc etc.

i have ordered them off amazon but as i am in the UK they will not arrive for another month and i would really like to see exactly what theyre like!

Just recently found a huge scratch on my Fellowship Disc 1 and would like to replace it. Only watched it once before and never noticed that scratch. Do you think WB would replace just the Disc 1 for me? I sent them an email offering to pay for a replacement of only disc 1.

In my country, they wouldn't, because they don't have spare discs, only complete sets as single units, and won't break them apart. But somewhere with the volume of the US, you might be luckier.

No, that's not the business WB is in. That isn't considered a manufacturing issue or an issue with the disc mastering. If anything, you'd need to take it back to the store you bought it from and unless it's somewhere with a super lenient exchange policy (like Amazon.com) it's doubtful even they will let you exchange it.

I'm with you on that. The boxset is far superior in appearance to the individual releases when sitting on the shelf. Granted, the individuals have nicer artwork on the case covers. However, since they spend more time on the shelf, tye boxset is the better visual piece.

My problem is that I bought the Boxset over 1 year ago so Amazon will not do a return, way past the date. I believe the scratch came on the disc right out of the shrink wrap which does make it a manufacturing issue. I am extremely anal about taking care of my movies and it is hard to scratch a bluray like this scratch.

They have done it for me before when I received a brand new Ultimate Matrix Collection with a scratched disc right out of packaging. They had me send them the damaged disc and I received a new shiny one a few weeks later. Hoping they do that again here.
