but hurry up, because it's only good today, so time's ticking away!

Again, it does not work with the STAR WARS set or Criterion titles, I guess they are excluded for some unexplained reason, but I can confirm it works for the LoTR EXTENDED boxset.
YAY!! Thank you! I canceled my Amazon order and saved!!

THANK YOU!

I didn't realize that Borders ships to Canada!

My order total is $68.47 USD including shipping!!! Even if HMV and Amazon.ca list at $69.99 as is rumoured to be happening, the Canadian tax factor alone makes this Border deal better than that price. Add to that the fact that the CDN dollar is above the USD and it's ridiculous to consider any other option. I'll be getting it for approx $67 TOTAL!

I cancelled both my Best Buy.ca and Amazon.com pre-orders as this is now the defacto deal for this set.

You'll probably get dinged for taxes at the border.

so, how much would you be paying in stores for the EE boxed set compared to online? and who do you think would have it for the cheapest?

Unlike Amazon, however, Borders takes the money at the time of the order, instead of when they ship.

In my 10 years of ordering product online from all over the globe, I only saw taxes on 1 purchase. That purchase was over $100. As long as it's under $100, they usually let it slide. It's not worth the paperwork for them.

P.S. THANKS FOR JINXING ME YA JERK!!!

When the theatrical trilogy isn't even worth $7.99 to me, $62+ for the only versions of the films that I ever want to see seems reasonable.

Finally decided to skip this set until they release the films individually. After having a marathon over the last two days, it's become even more apparent to me that I just want The Fellowship Extended.

I could probably live without seeing the other two films ever again...unless Jackson did a true director's cut of the last two films.

Then, I might take one more look at them. As it stands, I can just get by with watching the masterpiece that is The Fellowship Extended.

Here's hoping for individual releases for Christmas.

One day pricing in Canada will be $60 and I'd be surprised if it wasn't that cheap or cheaper in the States.

Glad I waited for the EE. I almost broke down about a year ago on the theatrical versions, but didn't. Hope Fellowship gets the restoration it so richly deserves.

Any time I price things out in the US/UK, I always factor in paying HST. If It makes it through without, great. Actually, most of the time I just get things shipped to a small border town in the US. Have a lot of friends that go to check the mail drop every couple weekends. Pretty much guaranteed to pay HST on that stuff. Hope that hasn't jinxed you
