Already got my answer. I'll still rent at some point if I like the movie or at least enjoyed it. Whether it be UHD 60fps or Bluray 24fps.
Regardless, 60fps on a movie should be interesting. The Hobbit was natively 48fps(I believe), but was never released on bluray with it. I never saw it that way. |

A average Joe Six Pack consumer (who's not a tech geek) wouldn't have a clue what the heck you're talking about, nor they wouldn't care about what those numbers is suppose to mean. As long as the movie look and sound good, that's all that matter to them. When people buy movies, they don't give a rats behind about all of the intricate technical specifications of the disc, all they want and care about is the movie.

If you have a 120Hz TV it does. There are minimal motion artefacts too because the TV is only having to create every other frame. |

IMO I think that if the movie can't run in 60p DV then it'll simply run in HDR10 60p, but that's just a guess. In any case the movie has been mastered to 1000 nits so tone mapping isn't a problem at my end, and the Dolby layer is so slight that it should barely have any impact on improving the HDR10. |

It looked like that in theater so that is what I would want at home. When watching, I felt like I was at one of those Disney Hollywood stunt attractions. The scene when the older Smith bats down a grenade from the second floor of the hotel(?) looked so realistic to me. There wasn't some orange ball of fire, just a loud bang, the trees moving, and smoke. 1:43 from this clip. The movie has its issues (including wasting the beauty of MEW) but it deserves a watch on the technical level. Last edited by Zimmy; 01-06-2020 at 03:11 PM. |

I was reading old posts on avs about Apple 4ktv and DV in 60hz mode on the Z9D and people succeeded running this so maybe We won’t have a problem with Gemini Man running DV 60hz. Will see when the disc is out.

Just watched the 60 FPS version and it looks awful. Some scenes are a complete joke,
[Show spoiler] . They look like they are played at twice the normal speed.Very nice 4K and HDR, though. If they ever want to release something at 60 FPS, I hope they provide a 24 FPS version on another disc. |
