Picked up the last one my Walmart had. Checked to see if there would be any playback problems and none to speak of passing video through my Marantz SR-6010 AVR.

So there's no way to watch this in 120fps? Not even streaming?

I saw this in IMAX 3D and kinda regret not doing Dolby Cinema at 120fps (if they did indeed show it that way). I got the 4K disc largely as a technical curiosity. Movie's not that great to be honest. But not bad either.

The Konka OLED has a 120fps in their movie store.

I await Dave's response with interest.

It appears the Oppo is outputting 1080p60 so you are correct. Is there a way to disable DV in the Oppo? I just see Auto (which mine is set to), TV Led and Player Led. I'd like to play the disc at 4K60 with HDR10 if possible and see how it looks.

The C9 (in a 77") is looking even more enticing now...

It says something that you didn't even notice it wasn't running in 4K though, that's not intended as snark towards you but a comment on how good it looks in general. I did the same thing with a different movie a while back, I marvelled at how good it looked and then realised right at the end it was playing in 1080p! Nothing to do with frame rate, for some reason the player just hadn't read the EDID from the TV properly and was downscaling all 4K to 1080p. Still had the HDR, otherwise I would've clocked it earlier, but it fooled me.

To turn off DV on the OPPO then set the HDR mode to Forced and power down the player. When you turn it back on it will now play the DV disc in HDR10.

Thanks, going to try that now and see how it looks.

I wear contacts but my vision is 20/20 with them. I do sit approximately 9 feet from the TV so that's probably why it still appeared to be 4K to me. I can tell something isn't right though when I close the distance by half. Other films it would probably be more noticeable though, maybe?

They did. It was in 3D 120fps, but in 2K resoulution, not 4K.

Yeah, something that wasn't as clean and as sharp (I mean temporally as well as spatially) may have looked a bit 'off', but the movie in my case was Godzilla '98 with that lush Sony 4K o-neg transfer swimming in grain and could I tell it wasn't 4K from 7ft away from a 65"? Could I bollocks

I rented the 4k disc from Redbox but didn't notice anything artifical or off about movement. Sharp demo disc though!

Anyone having an issue with their Digital Download to VUDU?
Mine's not showing up in my library, but states on Paramount's website that it was successfully downloaded.

Did you select Paramount site to redeem? Not sure if that is an option anymore. Or did you select vudu as the retailer to redeem? If the latter, be sure it redeemed the code. Sometimes it just redirects and inputs code without submitting it. Or did you redeem directly at Vudu?

I just received the Steelbook and popped this in for the first few minutes and it'll be quite an adjustment. It is off putting honestly, but something to get used to.

Will watch the film in it's entirety later though.

..... seriously? there are moments it looks perfect, but some other shots when he talks look downright bad. Its watchable but not nearly the best VFX work.

I went into this movie with no background info on how they created Junior and I had no clue how they pulled that off because it looked so real and organic. No other movie up to now has been able to pull that off to such a degree of accuracy and details

Watched the 4K disc at 60 HFR on the B7 OLED. Watched 20 minutes of the 60 frames, then watched the VUDU 4K version at 24 frames

Although the HFR is something to adjust to, the movement, the pans, motion all looked better in HFR. The VUDU version at 24fps I get the typical judder on the OLED on pans.

I'd like to see more HFR discs. Hoping the Hobbit discs come in HFR.

Couldn't agree more. Anytime is was dark or not in bright sunlight (close-up) or even an extreme close-up, Jr. looked great and quite real. The eyes were just off too, but otherwise, most of the time pretty freaky good. Case in point, the very last act.
[Show spoiler]When Jr. is walking with a bunch of friends at college, from the distance he looked great.
But when they had that close-up of his face, it was downright laughably poor. It was like WTF? Didn't they see that in post production and do something about it? How could they release this with just that 1 single shot and think it was good enough? Lol.

Finally got my hands on the disc and the CGI looks as bad as it did when I saw it at 120 fps. It really stands out whenever it shows up. All the head replacements, even for the stunt people are noticeable. All the screen/mirror replacements/green screen elements, everything looks incredibly cheap. HFR CGI needs a lot of work before it’s ready. It’s amazing how much you can hide at 24 fps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Any fix, I have a Sony X700 UHD player to my Sony 930e TV but i only get 4K over HDR10 and the X700 shows the HDR is converted to SDR. If I switch it back to DV i only get 1080p. I bought a premium certified HDMI cable from monoprice and do not have issues with other movies.
