So there's no way to watch this in 120fps? Not even streaming?
I saw this in IMAX 3D and kinda regret not doing Dolby Cinema at 120fps (if they did indeed show it that way). I got the 4K disc largely as a technical curiosity. Movie's not that great to be honest. But not bad either. |

It appears the Oppo is outputting 1080p60 so you are correct. Is there a way to disable DV in the Oppo? I just see Auto (which mine is set to), TV Led and Player Led. I'd like to play the disc at 4K60 with HDR10 if possible and see how it looks.
The C9 (in a 77") is looking even more enticing now... Last edited by Dave_6; 01-18-2020 at 01:23 AM. |

To turn off DV on the OPPO then set the HDR mode to Forced and power down the player. When you turn it back on it will now play the DV disc in HDR10. |

I wear contacts but my vision is 20/20 with them. I do sit approximately 9 feet from the TV so that's probably why it still appeared to be 4K to me. I can tell something isn't right though when I close the distance by half. Other films it would probably be more noticeable though, maybe? |

Did you select Paramount site to redeem? Not sure if that is an option anymore. Or did you select vudu as the retailer to redeem? If the latter, be sure it redeemed the code. Sometimes it just redirects and inputs code without submitting it. Or did you redeem directly at Vudu?

I went into this movie with no background info on how they created Junior and I had no clue how they pulled that off because it looked so real and organic. No other movie up to now has been able to pull that off to such a degree of accuracy and details

Watched the 4K disc at 60 HFR on the B7 OLED. Watched 20 minutes of the 60 frames, then watched the VUDU 4K version at 24 frames
Although the HFR is something to adjust to, the movement, the pans, motion all looked better in HFR. The VUDU version at 24fps I get the typical judder on the OLED on pans. I'd like to see more HFR discs. Hoping the Hobbit discs come in HFR. |

[Show spoiler] But when they had that close-up of his face, it was downright laughably poor. It was like WTF? Didn't they see that in post production and do something about it? How could they release this with just that 1 single shot and think it was good enough? Lol.

Finally got my hands on the disc and the CGI looks as bad as it did when I saw it at 120 fps. It really stands out whenever it shows up. All the head replacements, even for the stunt people are noticeable. All the screen/mirror replacements/green screen elements, everything looks incredibly cheap. HFR CGI needs a lot of work before it’s ready. It’s amazing how much you can hide at 24 fps.
