So which frame rates do you prefer? Only 24? Or is there a range that you find acceptable?

Of course you wouldn't. You'd hate storytelling, character development, humor, action, drama, etc., because movies would have been shown in 60fps instead of 24fps.

That makes perfect sense.

24 really hits the spot perfectly. There’s not much of a range to discuss. Some real intelligent individuals decided upon it. Can’t say the same for today’s filmmakers and engineers.

24, ya know, what 99.99% of movies are.

I'm not a technician, just a movie fan. I know what I like and I know what I don't like. I don't care about the numbers, just how it looks. I don't like the way HFR looks. Deal with it or don't. Makes no difference to me

Movies are visual. None of that other stuff matters that much. If it’s not aesthetically pleasing to the eye, it’s not a good movie. No exceptions.

Then you should be able to articulate it.

Would 25fps be acceptable do you? What about 29fps?

Don't need to and don't have to. Your nonsensical questions won't change the way I feel about how the format looks

Which frame rates are aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and why?

do you honestly think that other forum posters can't smell a disingenuous argument?

What makes 24 better than 18fps, 23fps, or 25fps?

I'm not sure, but I can definitely smell that you don't know what disingenuous means.

What about incorporating both 60fps and 24fps within the same movie depending on the type of scene and atmosphere of each individual sequence?

I'm not watching 20 minutes of some obese neckbeard, but skipping to the end to see his conclusion, and unsurprisingly, his argument is that "almost every movie ever is 24fps" - which is entirely equivalent to, "that is what I am used to."

There is still not a single other argument put forth by the anti-HFR crowd other than, "I'm not used to it."

The frame rate is something that should be at the discretion of the director. I'm fine with whatever he chooses. But the anti-HFR crowd hates creative intent, evidently.

Are you looking up the word disingenuous in the dictionary? You should be. That's your homework for today.
