Dolby recommends that HFR content on UHD disc uses minimum enhancement DV and not the full layer version (most likely because of processing power not being able to run the full DV rebuild at 60fps), so it'll be interesting to see how that plays out with the disc.

I hope not, just to help show that disc is superior.

I'm actually a little surprised this is getting a 60p release because AFAIK all the theatrical 2D DCPs were limited to 24p. They only released the HFR in 3D. So I feared they'd stick to that model. Glad they didn't.

It'd be a bit of a waste if they didn't put the 60 version on UHD.

In Germany, they’re offering a 3D Blu for this. Any chance it would also be 60 fps or is that beyond the format’s specs?

1080p Blu taps out at 24 frames progressive, including 3D. 50i and 60i are supported for 2D 1080p Blu but those would have half the motion resolution of this 60p source anyway.

Wow. So this movie was filmed in 60 fps native 3D, so I can watch it at home in 24 fps 3D or 60 fps 2D but never as it was fully intended. Poo.

It was actually filmed in 120 fps 3D @ 3.2K (uprezzed to 4K for the finish) and most cinemas can't even display it at 4K120 3D so I wouldn't feel too put out.

Blame the twinkies who enacted the UHD standard without a 3D component.
