As a historical aside (and personal as Marty has a Catholic background), the Roman Catholic church just elected its first Jesuit pope….also another first being the fact that he is the first pope to take the name ‘Francis’, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi , whom I know best for this saying, which I quote…

“Not to hurt our humble brethren is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough. We have a higher mission -- to be of service to them wherever they require it.”
