This movie will not sell as much as Fright Night did on the secondary market.

to get back on topic, does anyone know why TT doesn't serialize its titles? With a limited pressing of 3000, wouldn't adding the serial add to the collect ability
of their titles, thus making their titles that they aren't selling as fast, sell faster?

As quickly as this is selling I think it may open up some people's eyes to buy sooner than later. Glad I didn't slack like I did on fright night. I waited til a week before release. I don't think I will be doing that again.

I hope that NOTLD remake blu-rays are flying around like monkeys on trees on ebay and amazon, all from people who are greedy and inconsiderate of others.

What would Romero say?
"I wish I'd thought of that!" ?

fact is, anyone who is serious about getting this movie can do just that. Especially for those who keep saying that they would never pay $35 for a " insert cliche name here " title as I remember reading the exact same when fn was up for sale. The opportunity is here right now, so anyone posting here that is not buying it should not have any reasons to complain anymore from here on out. Majority of the people buying are doing so because they want this movie and not for any other reasons - like the ones we have all read about in the past few pages. All the bIow hards need to grow up!

This is the thought that I had.

I visit this site daily, but I post in the forum VERY rarely. That said, I've known of this topic for the 3 months that it has been around. So, as far as members of this site/forum go, you've had 3 months to save up $30 for your copy (if you indeed wanted one). If you miss your chance, too bad.

I am not supporting "flippers" (and I apologize if I am violating the request to drop the subject. Please delete my post if needed), but if you can make a profit, more power to you. I do feel sorry for the true fans that get screwed in the deal, but fair or unfair, that's just how it works. Instead of blaming those out looking for a profit, try blaming the distributor for not instituting a "limit per customer" policy. Or better yet, blame the idiot that is willing to pay the $100+ for the product.

Got my preorder in earlier! Never seen this remake so I'm eager to check it out! Always heard great things about this film and can't wait to add this to my collection!

It's a lot of fun, and stands well on its own, while being respectful of the original. The gore and zombie makeup is good, and Patricia Tallman is a compelling lead. My copy is ordered.

Bought it this afternoon. I can see why people are buying multiple copies, but that could just mean someone else that loves the film will be left out of purchasing the initial order.

I could be totally wrong (I usually am. Just ask my wife.), but I wouldn't worry much about that.

This release has been covered here. It has been covered/mentioned by Fangoria, HorrorHound, Dread Central, HorrorDVDs, Upcominghorrormovies.com, & various other horror radio & web shows. The target audience (the ones who LOVE this movie, the original, Romero, Savini, etc. enough to pay $30 for it) knows about this release and have probably known about it for some time. Horror fans (especially Romero & Living Dead fans) are pretty rabid about these kinds of things. Remember, these are the same people who are willing to pay $20 for the autographs of glorified extras.

Sure, there are going to be a few who miss out. There always are.

Or better yet, blame the people that didn't order it while it was available for retail, all the copies they want from 1 to 100+, whiners!

If they're going to create limited editions, they need to limit it to 1 per customer.

As much as I agree with you, its not good for my already hating soul. No use... I just learn to tolerate/ignore.
