placed an order for one this morning. I'm planning on holding onto it for a little while to sell (or preferably trade for Fright Night). All I want is Fright Night and if this is what it takes, so be it. If I'm in a pinch financially in October maybe I'll just try to cancel the preorder and just wait another two years for another FN release

Edit: PuppetMasterBlu has added a link to some recently sold for $79.99. Again though, I don't use Ebay.com. So for me, that listing doesn't even show up on my site. Last edited by Inspector Toschi; 09-18-2012 at 05:23 PM. |

Like, I want to buy a bunch of copies for my son and friends. Why so expensive - only 3k? I am in my sixties and retired. Soooooo, I am not in the know like you kids

It's just, at this point, FN is much "rare" than NOTLD90 is, or will be. I mean, even supposing copies of NOTLD go for the current value range of FN ( $90-240) down the road, that would probably take some time, and by that time copies of FN will be even scarcer to come by and probably demand an even higher asking price. I just don't see it happening to be honest, but for your sake I hope it does.

The inventory counter for pre-orders is pretty accurate so they'll probably stop taking orders once it hits 3,000. With over 900 copies left now though there's no need to worry about a backorder, you're pretty much guaranteed a copy.

The real lesson I hope Twilight Time learns from this is that the horror titles are selling much, much better than their older selections. I would exploit this relationship with Sony to the fullest potential, there are several other horror movies from their catalog that would sell out within a week from Twilight Time.
We are going to see in the coming months whether Twilight Time is solely focused on profitable releases, or is this just a hobby for the owners to get a few personal favorites out on Blu-ray. |

I think it's obviously a bit of both. I don't see why it has to be one way or the other.

I remember reading in an interview that they basically send a long list of titles to Sony, and Sony whittles the list down to whatever they have an HD master for and whatever they are willing to part with. So Twilight Time basically takes whatever they can get.
