Since Twilight Time's business model has been discussed, I thought I'd share this interview that discusses just that. Not sure if this has been shared before or elsewhere, but here goes.

Yeah, it's been posted several times, but some people choose to ignore it.

Just realized that night of the living dead comes out same day as
Prometheus and little shop of horrors. Crazy week. I don't mind it coming a few days later

That was when they were releasing much older/obscure titles that people outside of movie buffs or collecting scene wouldn't care about. Most of the recent titles are fairly well known with people who definitely pick it up if they saw it at Wal-Mart or Target.

I love NOTLD remake, but Return of The Living Dead is classic. Although I do agree that they are hard to compare.

They will have 3,000 copies of NOTLD to ship plus +/- 1,500 for EM. I hope they give Ed some help.

I would disagree with your opinion of what the tastes of the average Walmart/Target shopper are. Also, Twilight Time DVD just reposted it on their Facebook page as it asnwers most of their most frequently asked questions concerning their business model. So that makes it current in my book.

Then they aren't truly addressing their fans or critics by saying anything new...

They respond to direct questions on Facebook all the time. Have you actually read the article? Twilight Time is just two guys who do this as a hobby. If they didn't release the movies that they did, some of these titles would never see the light of day. They are doing fans a favor by even existing.

I wonder if they've stuck to their word and they are going to limit how many copies people can buy.

I guess we'll be able to tell by how fast the remaining 500 copies sell out

EDIT: Looks like there are only 518 copies left

And that sums up why some of us are confused at the sometimes hero-worship...

They are doing us a favor by existing? Really?
