So I've got 2 copies coming and I was wondering is there anyone on here that would want to trade a sealed copy of NOTLD for a copy of Fright Night on blu ray?

That's actually a genius idea, I'll bet more wish they had thought of that.

(BTW, I am neither 'pro' nor 'anti' speculation, I'm in the center and can see the good and bad in all of it. Though I do take issue with merchandise hoarders and price gougers, none of which I see going on here.)

Did anyone have to sign for it or did they just throw it in your mailbox? Also what size packaging did it come in (I have 2 on the way). Bought 1 for me and 1 for a friend's birthday.

Didn't have to sign for it, went straight to the mailbox. It came in a small first class bubble mailer. But since you got two, it may come in a box.

Unless your goal is to flip it for the most cash possible, open it and enjoy!

edit: i lied, i'm not 45 mins. in, i'm only 25 mins. in but yes, the daytime parts are very dark & seemingly washed in blue, makes me worry more for the next hour of the movie... the commentary is still good so far, though.

I want to watch and own mine too badly not to open it even if I could resell it later for a lot more.

It's worth a try, but I have to believe anyone who knew about Fright Night and ordered one back in November 2011 was well aware of this NOTLD release and most likely ordered that too.

Depends on why you got it. Did you get it because you like the film and want to see it in HD? Or, did you get it for it's potential worth and collectability?

i thought i wasn't going to open mine for a while, either. i just watched the DVD a few months ago, i thought i'd wait & see what this did on the after-market, etc.

i was halfway through the booklet before i got it from the mailbox to my front door... and like i said, the commentary's pretty good, too.

Much of the film was shot day-for-night and made intentionally dark. I do think the gamma curve could have been tweaked a bit in the opening act to brighten up the image, but shadow detail is resolved quite well with no hint of crushed blacks. The darker tonality gets lighter once the action shifts to inside the farmhouse.

also note, the after-market over-pricing will largely be alleviated once so many poor reviews of the picture start rolling in... i am mostly disappointed so far...
