I never said I loved the transfer. When did I say that? Link please.
Well, here's the same image from Sony's streaming service, Crackle.

I never said the film was grayscale and that's what it's suppose to look like. Now you're assuming that's what I said or meant. It helped show the image from the blu-ray is more blue in color. Should it look that way; maybe, maybe not. Do I expect it to be completely gray; no. But a broadcast shown on a black and white set is usually more gray then it is blue. That same image I've seen from other releases of the movie aren't nearly as blue but more gray in color. It's something to look at which may show a possible issue but to alleviate any complaints I removed that picture.

I can't believe this thread has already surpassed the Fright Night thread in the number of posts. I can't keep up.

Right as far as we are all concerned we all love our Horror movies and stuff and yeah we should debate them.............but come on we all have a common interest which is movies. There is no need to get personal or anything they really are just movies not life and death choices..........and hey we have Halloween not far off and i am sure this will make great viewing then. No matter what.

I'll fill you in. First 50 pages is "Yes!", "Finally.", etc. Then the next 50 pages are "Scalper!", "Extortionist!", etc. Then the last 80 pages are "Mine shipped!", "Mine too!", "You're a SOB for thinking there's not a color shift.", etc.

I actually agree, no need to get personal, we're all movie buffs here, the issue is between TT/SAE and the dissatisfied ones, not between us personally.

I'd like to see that same shot from the 1080p VUDU version if anyone has it.

I don't see any issues between you and TT yet.

Well I have my plan. If theres a recall, great. Id love to have this on bluray properly.

If not, im getting my money back and using 13 bucks of it to just download it off of VUDU on my ps3. Its HD and 1080p and looks exactly how it should. Sure its not AS good as blu but if its the best im gonna get then so be it. Still have my dvd too obviously.

Ill be hoping for the recall though.

Showing two pictures side by side in this thread implies that one is from the Blu-ray and one is from the DVD or other source. It goes without saying because many will automatically assume that's what the image is. Earlier in the thread someone had to edit his post to clarify because people were making that assumption even though his post said nothing of the sort. Remember, people read headlines and or look at the pretty pictures.

I asked this yesterday but the pages were moving so fast that I dont think it got answered.

Anyone know who owns this overseas?

Curious if we'd ever see it released on bluray elsewhere so that we can just import it if it ever comes out.

I know the UK DVD is also a Columbia Tristar/Sony thing - it's a straight 'port of the US disc, but that disc was issued 12 years ago.

Just have to say that this is absolutely wrong. There was definitely outcry for the color timing on Halloween...so lets not go too far here.
