I searched the completed listings to get the selling prices of most recent half dozen copies to sell on eBay.

These are the final prices for SOLD discs .

On October 24, 2 discs sold for $52.00 and $53.67 each.

On October 25, 3 discs were sold for $65.00, $60.00 and $62.00 each.

On October 26, 1 disc was sold for for $52.59.

So the average price being paid by buyers since mid-week has been $57.54.

That's funny, because when I watched it, I actually thought it looked like something from the mid-'70s. Nothing about it really screams late '80s/early '90s (or yesterday, to be honest ).

So I saw this film tonight for the first time and I searched for it if it was available on blu-ray. It is but it'll cost me $50+ if I wanted it. Any chance we'll see a re-release of this soon?

You have to wait three years for another release, at least from Region A.

Watching now. They really cleaned up the footage in this one and got rid of the heavy grain the original had but they really did make it much darker than it should have been. I'm not too fond of it but it's not worthy of me returning it.

I see it as Green Lantern PQ on crack.

After 12 hours of fighting with myself (it only really took 10 minutes). I've decided this movie is unwatchable because of the PQ.

If you've bought it on Ebay from a third party seller, you couldn't return it, if you wanted to. The only way you're able to return the blu-ray for a full refund, that's if you've purchased it brand new from SAE only. You're just stuck with it, unless you try to resell it on Ebay, or Amazon, and get part of your money back.

I still haven't gotten around to watching my copy yet. I was put off initially with all the furore surrounding the blue tint and now I have more recent releases to watch first. It's probably going to be sitting in it's wrapper for a little while longer yet.

I know this is a longshot, but can anyone send me a high-res scan of the cover art of the Twilight Time release of NOTLD '90? I bought two copies (one being an Xmas present for a friend) and took the inserts to a convention to get signed by Savini. Long story short, my bag was stolen, and those inserts were inside. They were really the only thing I have no real way to replace. I contacted Twilight Time & finally heard back, but they cannot help me. The next best thing I can do is get them printed myself, so at least they have artwork. If anyone can help me out, please PM me, I would greatly appreciate it.

So a few weeks ago I sent a message to Frank Prinzi (the cinematographer for NOTLD) asking for confirmation about whether he was consulted and essentially responsible for the blue tint. He finally responded to me today, and get this, he hasn't even seen the final transfer!

Yes I was. How does it look? I havent seen it . I thought the Original DVD of this 1990 version was too bright and colorful.. I hope it was an improvement... thanks for watching fp

So he apparently gave Sony advice to make it darker because the previous releases were too bright, and I guess the crack team at Sony took that advice and interpreted it to mean crushing blacks and tinting things blue. I'm assuming the consultation was just done over the phone, or through writing and not in person. If so, then Sony is definitely responsible for how the movie looks. We can't conclude that it's approved by Prinzi at this time. I'll be responding to him shortly providing some links with pics of the transfer to see if he approves of the end result.
