Refrigerator magnets are pretty useless anyway, so it didn't matter to me if the blu-ray contained one or not.

There business model has nothing to do with hype. I believe this and other interviews have been posted before (by myself also). Twilight Time isn't some faceless corporation twirling its mustache in a darken room somewhere.

if this SOLD OUT scare doesn't make you order it while you still have the chance you really have no one to blame in the end

Is it possible someone tried to buy the last 50 and the order got cancelled? If you try to buy more than 2, does it stop you at checkout?

That's quite possible as the cart doesn't appear to limit you to only 2 copies unless it changes the quantity after you hit the submit button.

I believe the guy from SAE said so a number of pages back. It will cancel any orders for more than 2 from when they start limiting numbers. I'm sure a scalper tried to order all the remaining copies.

How many people that don't care about the movie made purchased it betting on a quick sell-out to turn a few bucks? How many people who would have waited and bought it in their own time rushed to get it immediately for fear it would disappear? I'd guess that if the 3,000 limitation hadn't been announced, they probably wouldn't even have moved 1,000 units by now. Possibly a lot fewer than 1,000.
Most likely correct. I know I would not of bought one the first week without the limited edition aspect. Never seen this but I am interested in giving it a watch and will most likely like it - big fan of Tony Todd. As with Fright Night I did not want to risk hunting the secondary market to obtain a copy.
