I recently caught it on cable and I'd say it probably hasn't aged as well as one might hope, but still worth watching. I will be ordering that soon, but I knew it wasn't going to go as fast as NOTLD. Although, I do see it selling out like Mysterious Island and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Heck, it may even pull a Fright Night. There's still four more weaks to match that pace.

Yeah right... I've been sitting on my unopened copy of the Fright Night blu-ray because those bastards won't give me my $35 back and allow me to return it, shifty buggers.

Edit: Over your head humor? so says my PM box.

There are going to be a lot of people kicking themselves for not getting this movie because it will never be sold for 29.95 again.

That's exactly why I jumped on it and Enemy Mine. Now if I could just find a copy of the original that didn't cost a fortune. So far I have on BD:

Night of the Living Dead (1990)
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Dawn of the Dead (2004)
Day of the Dead
Land of the Dead

No love for Diary of the Dead or Survival of the Dead? I need to pick those up on Blu-ray. How about the Day of the Dead remake? I actually kind of liked that, but I wish I had gotten the 2D Blu-ray version instead of the 3D version. The 3D was really bad on that one. The Night of the Living Dead 3D was pretty bad, but being the completist I am I really would prefer that on 3D Blu-ray.

As far as the original NOTLD goes, I just don't see why we can't get an honest to God Blu-ray for that.

This isn't any different than vendors selling overpriced sports memorabilia at sporting events or t-shirts for $50 at concerts. Vendors will always overcharge at events like these as a lot of people attend them with disposable cash and want to have instant gratification while at the event. Unless you're buying crappy bootlegs for $5 a pop at horror conventions, all vendors have their DVDs and blu-rays jacked up in price.

Hated the first two, but the Day of the Dead remake was okay. Still, it's not something I'd watch again.

I don't care much for Survival of the Dead.

I own the following on bd: pre-ordered NOTLD 1990, Dawn of the Dead (original & remake), Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead, and Diary of the Dead.

Still waiting on a U.S. release of the original NOTLD. Until then, I'll watch my millennium edition DVD.

The Millenium Edition of NOTLD is freaking awesome. I used to have that back in the day. If they ever released a NOTLD on Blu-ray with those special features ported over or in addition to any other features, I'd die a happy man.

This is a really affordable region free UK import, I've got it. Based on NOLD comparisons on this forum this Netwerk release may not be the definitive edition (and has no special features) but for the money it's a great product. Posting in the $30 a pop thread I can say the import is a relative bargain. If you're holding your breath for some company to rush out and publish a pristine transfer of a public domain title then you might be out for a while.

It's a great edition. When I get the bd, I plan on putting the DVD with it in a two disc blu-ray case since I highly doubt they'll port over the special features.

I really enjoyed Diary of the Dead. There was a sense of immeadiacy (is that a word?) like it was happening in real time. I liked how it asked questions about voyeurism and what not. But to each his own. It certainly isn't Romero's best.

And Survival of the Dead is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me.

I'll trade three or four titles from my trade thread, depending on the titles for this mother bear.
