If I was Twilight Time, I would put the 2 per order limit from the beginning on Christine. You don't want people associating your brand with frustration at missing out on a key release. Hot releases are going to start needing these limits or people are going to view the system as unfair. If people want to order 15 copies of Swamp Water at once, go right ahead.
I see it as the opposite. It's clear that those looking to sell these for profit later can tell that the best candidates are the genre titles; specifically the horror titles. After all, these are the ones that have sold out quickly, rather than over the span of a few months, like Journey To The Center Of The Earth and Mysterious Island. Again, when you consider the King fans and Carpenter fans will want this too, you'll have to also consider that it's more potential "customers" that could pay top dollar for the speculators' copies, too.

I just had a weird suspicion that my order wasn't processed because I didn't remember getting an e-mail. I looked back and I did, whew!

Looking back on it, I have no dreads about spending the amount I did. I would've liked to pay less, but being one of my favorites, I couldn't sleep on it.

There is no down side when you think about it. You can easily get what you payed for it back, if not double or triple what you payed. I learned my lesson after being a tight a** with the fright night blu-ray. So, so much regret.

This one sold for $150 already but most others are going between $50 - $80 right now.

Fright Night is still going for over $150 for an unsigned copy.

Typical way these sites work if someone put in a tentative order, such as you guys checking to see how many are left, it freezes other sales out for a few minutes. I.e you were blocking the last 3 from selling out.

...I can understand that plenty of potential buyers are not aware of SAE or the the TT business model, but when they see a brand new release going for $150 on eBay, with information in the listing stating that it won't be available for shipping for a few weeks, don't they put two and two together? Don't they figure that the eBay seller is probably getting them for a more regular price, from the actual distributors? They can't possibly think the eBay seller is producing this release themselves.

Some one bought a copy for $70 only a day or two after the pre-order went up, when TT still had over 1000 copies. Searching "NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 1990 BLU-RAY" will bring you right to this very thread. It's really baffling.

That's eBay for you - the amount of people who say to me that they have 'won' something on eBay is incredible.

Well they are seeing Limited Edition and 300 made, to some people that means SPECIAL and special things for for high prices.....I guess. Also if you look at that auction the person sold 2 for 65 bucks each and was attempting to sell one for 150, it didn't actually sell for that price. He closed the auction, im guessing so potential customers don't see that he sold the other 2 for far cheaper.
