So I see a few up on the Bay already, 2 sold for $80 each and one for $150. Time will tell what the true aftermarket resale value is once these ship.

The sad thing is that if this can maintain these high values it validates the idea of purchasing at least +1 extra copy to sell. Not many people predicted what would happen with Fright Night. I think many people purchased extra copies of NOTD, and if they're able to sell them then I think you'll see subsequent horror releases sell out super fast. The countdown to sellout will last hours, not days/weeks.

I know how you feel I missed Fright Night and I refuse to pay the absurd amount of money they are asking for now.

LOL why is he trying to break even? Same guy was taking pre-orders for NOTLD. He sold like 9 of them for 48 to 50 bucks a piece. After he buys the item, pays ebay fees, paypal fees and then ships it out he will only have a 5 dollar profit.

He would be losing money at $29.95 + $5 shipping before you even factor in reselling fees. It's also against eBay policy to offer preorder items that far in advance given that he only accepts PayPal and the window for disputes will be far from over by the time this is released. Also falsely states a delivery date of "Estimated between Thu. Sep. 27 and Wed. Oct. 3".

Exactly. Whats in it for him to sell for the exact price it costs? With his other auctions he literally must be clearing 2 to 7 dollars after fees. Please tell me that's ED's account or something.

Most likely the seller will be ripping off the customers given that 1) the window for disputes will be over and 2) the window to leave feedback will be closed. Reported listing to eBay for violation of policy.

EDIT: Wow, didn't know that Porky's was also OOP.

...plus he's violating eBay's rules regarding pre-orders. A seller must be able to ship within 30 days otherwise it's a policy violation which could result in suspension and/or a hold on his PayPal account.

Eeeeee-deeee-ottt!

I'm not aware of it being against the forum rules as long as you're not posting links to your own auctions.

lol, how is one not know that they are not to your auction? or a friends for that matter? I think this is why all get deleted, but I am no mod, we will see soon enough, but I see them get deleted in ALL other threads all the time.

Where is the rule that says links are prohibited? Now if it's your own listings then it could fall under "self advertising". There is a specific eBay rule in the Hot Deals Forum but that is specifically for that forum but even then it states volume listings are allowable (only single item listings are prohibited). All of these links are for volume listings (or for listings that are sold out/completed) but anyone would be insane to actually buy from that seller.

Regardless I'll be ordering any titles I want directly from SAE.

If you click the purchase history, it shows that they were actually sold for $65.

The other 9 that were sold show $49.99 and $47.99.

Still ridiculous, considering they were available through Twilight Time at the time.

And again if your selling them for 48 to 50 your making almost NO PROFIT! Seriously 5 dollars isn't worth it.
