You'd have to be a pretty big fan to pay 150 bucks for this...

I don't think anyone would have imagined the prices fright night would eventually fetch so anything is possible.

'Journey' consistently sold for at least $60 so I imagine this would get at the very least that much.

Or a complete idiot.

No single movie on Blu-ray is worth $150. I don't care how rare it is.

Yeah I agree. Many people, myself included, hesitated on purchasing Fright Night due to the price and relative lack of bonus content. I think only a few clairvoyant individuals purchased more than one.

With NOTD the potential for resale definitely contributed to the faster sell out. I got my order in, but if I had to choose only 1 movie to own on Blu it would be Fright Night.

I would buy Journy for $60. Heck, I'd buy Fright Night for $80 if I thought there was no way it'd be coming out for sure in 3 years.

Actually, as a new adopter of Blu-Ray (March 2012) I found this forum by doing a search for Fright Night on Google. I found it on ebay and was almost going to faint when I saw the price. I decided to research why it was so expensive and that is when I found this forum. I imagine as people adopt the format more and more and zombie movies and shows become more and more popular people will be doing the same newbie search I did and find out about Twilight Time the way I did. Which is not good for us because the more people who know about this way of making quick cash, the quicker these things will be selling out. Would not surprise me if they dont start selling out in hours.

And speaking of Fright Night, I just watched it again for the second time last night on blu-ray. I wouldn't sell my copy for a million bucks because, money is not everything... You can't take it with you!

Wow. WTF. I became a member of this website just to pre-order this one movie. I singed up on the pre-order notification like 8 times over the past two months and now I find out that it's sold out! How the hell does that happen! They were supposed to e-mail me! Now I'll have to pay top price on ebay to get something that I waited two months to pre-order. Thanks Blu-Ray.com.

Pre-order notifications are for Amazon.

I just looked on amazon and it's not even there. That makes no sense. I have even been checking the page every day to see if a pre-order tab was added. If you can't do it through this website and you can't do it through amazon then where the hell are you supposed to go? Shouldn't that info be on the page? Very poor communication.

It happened because the notification service uses Amazon for it's release info I would assume, and since this was a very limited very small release on an independent web site, Blu-ray.com never noticed that it was available itself.

Either that or the service is set up to notify when a title is available to purchase and not pre-order. Either way, the title was available for over 1 week. If you were checking back regularly then it wouldn't have missed out as there were countless availability updates on nearly every page.

TT titles are ONLY sold through Screen Archives Entertainment's website. they are exclusive to them.

Yes brasil. SAE's Amazon storefront doesn't even list a title until it's available to ship. In this case there aren't any NOTLD90 Blu-rays left for them to sell that way, so there's no point in listing it.

Someone mentioned zombies being "in" at the moment. I wonder if TT deliberately chose NOTLD '90 because of the popularity of the Walking Dead series. Genius. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the film (dare I say I prefer it over the original) so this purchase is definitely not for any potential resale value. I plan on watching this disc quite a bit throughout the year. Ditto for Christine.

If my memory serves me correctly, Amazon doesn't even allow third party merchants to list preorders on their web site. Hence the reason why SAE doesn't list the TT titles until they're officially released.

That and all the talk here and other forums.

Or think that you can resell at a higher price.

I mentioned it.

The Walking Dead Season 2 is very similar to NOTLD. Strangers forced to take shelter at a farm house. Not everybody is on the same side. Zombies find them, zombies kill people. The season 2 finale is really a complete NOTLD rip off.

The show had 8 million viewers for Season 2. Its advertised as the most popular basic cable show ever made. Twilight Time releasing this film right before Halloween and The Walking Dead Season 3 premiere is genius. Thats why it sold out in 8 days.
