I don't think that NOTLD 90 being released on Blu-ray with only 3000 copies made is trying to convert people from buying DVD's to buying Blu-rays. It was released for the hardcore fans. This movie bombed at theaters. Sony did not want to take the chance that this movie wouldn't sell on Blu-ray. They wanted to make a set amount of money on the film and they did.

Makes you wonder how much they made in sales of the DVD they put out long ago.

I can not recall seeing a copy myself and I forget how I got mine lol it was either by trade or ebay years ago .

I cherish the Dead movies based in the Romero Universe and NOTLD on Bluray will make a fine addition my Romero zombie Bluray collection.

I passed copies by for years thinking it was just another edition of the original! I think I finally picked up a copy in a drugstore or something after a buddy clued me in when I mentioned wishing the '90 version was out on DVD...

28 Weeks Later absolutely had zombies, infected or otherwise. See the "heli-chop-ter" scene if you doubt me.

For me, that means 28 Days Later's "infected" are most definitely also zombies, whether or not that was a ret-con in the sequel.

Dawn of the Dead (2004)

28 Days Later

(I really didn't like Land, Survival or the remade Day, though I love Diary)

and if you are into "Zombedies":

Zombieland
Shaun of the Dead
Planet Terror
Add Braindead/Dead-Alive, The Return of the Living Dead, Zombie Flesh Eaters/Zombie, and I'll have to agree.

Also, not really apocalypse but The Plague of the Zombies is a great zombie film too.

How come nobody mentions the first Resident Evil film. It revived the zombie genre for the big screen. NOTLD 90 was the last theatrically released zombie film before Resident Evil.

Just like X-Men made superhero movies popular again.

When does the Christine BD go up for pre-order so I can lock my copy in?

As well as Let Sleeping Corpses Lie/The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue. Tombs of the Blind Dead. Probably a handful I'm not thinking of too at the moment.

Mid-Feb or so. I would check often for updates, coverart, etc. I follow Twlight Time on Facebook to be safe.
