Excellnt arguement for why this and other titles get limited releases. Somehow I doubt studios make money off of bargain bin prices.

Either make these movies available to everybody, or nobody. Most people have lives that need tending to, and just don't have the time to worry about all the "will I be able to buy this or won't I?" foolishness.

You want to sell this to me, fine. Put it on a store shelf and leave the rest up to me. But I don't have time to be jumping thru hoops to get it when I already have it on DVD, especially when (as is the case far too many times these days) the "limited-edition" Blu-ray may only offer what amounts to marginally better picture/sound and not-that-many-more "extras," over what the widely-available DVD version already offers at a lower pricepoint.
You are so contented that you felt the need to whine about limited edition blu ray release.

Your reasoning makes good sense to me. Thanks for providing a fresh perspective, one I hadn't considered before I read your post.

Because 1) it's terrible and 2) it has zombies in it but they're barely a threat and they're never interesting.

Resident Evil was a great zombie film. The sequels however are pretty horrendous.

Is it really? I've always taken its awfulness for granted, but I do love zombie films. Maybe I'll rent it or grab it cheap.

Resident Evil also has one of the most entertaining commentary tracks I have ever heard with Director Paul W.S. Anderson, Producer Jeremy Bolt, Milla Jovovich, and Michelle Rodriguez.
