I know! That's how this all started, we were saying 'imagine all the craziness if these things were numbered!', not that is what i wanted, just saying that would be nuckin futs it they did that. And yes the first 10 copies would be valued more than the rest. 1 being the gem obvi

No, but I figured at least some here have done since there's so many people talking about it and I've seen some people on here with 10 copies and so on.

So I emailed TT and got this reply:

My email:

I just had a question, I pre ordered 2 copies of Night of the Living Dead minutes after it went up for pre order on September 14th without any issue. I see now that its sold out and I go to my orders and there both there but both of there status's say pending meanwhile on the Blu ray.com
forum a lot of people are saying they have gotten shipping notices in there email. So I was wondering I've never ordered anything from TT before do you guys charge the CC at the time of pre order or do you charge at the time of Shipping? If its shipping then my credit card was locked so the charge wouldn't have went through, now I have just went and paid my credit card and the funds should be available by tomorrow (Friday September 27th or Monday Oct 1st) I just want to make sure I DO NOT loose my 2 copies of Night of the Living Dead as I didn't realize when you guys charge the card. Thanks!

Ed's Reply:

You are preapproved when you order online from us like any ecommerce site and we take the actual money when we ship – we are shipping 1000’s of orders right now and you are in the queue. –Ed

So does that mean they basically virtually charge the CC and hold the funds til the shipping incase of like cancelling or something?

I have been ordering from SAE for years since I also collect film scores, they always do the pending charge right when you place the order (esp for pre-orders) Then depending on the bank who your card is with etc the charge can be pending for 1-7 business days usually drops off after a few days and then when they ship the item you won't see the item billed until it just goes to posted status on the account. has been the same for me every order with them. Unless you pay with payPal then the funds as paid in full when you place the order.

Glad they don't number these. I can just imagine all the crap we would have to put up with from all of the crybabies.

Is it just Ed who is doing all the shipping?

I hope he doesn't get a cranky Post Office clerk. Then again, walking in with 600 little envelopes at a time can be a little taxing for the average overworked postal employee Especially if they're not stamped yet

I also ordered the newly released 2 CD soundtracks to Body Heat and King Kong. Both are John Barry scores. Must haves as far as I'm concerned but I also spent a pretty penny at Screen Archives.

I wonder if they are shipping small orders (bubble envelope) before large ones (cardboard box).

I collect scores, too, and have bought many from SAE. I decided to think of TT Blus as another movie score, and then the price feels more acceptable.

I first saw Body Heat in a film class at college, and later bought it on DVD. Now I have it on Blu, but haven't watched that copy yet. I don't remember the music, for some reason...I was tempted to buy that score but figured I should revisit the film first. The only Barry scores I've got are Day of the Locust, High Road to China, and Out of Africa.

I hope you realize they sell more than just Twilight Time movies at SAE. They are probably better known for their music selection than movies, and likely sell and ship hundreds of items every day.
