Good thinking. I just found a spare black double disc case I had for just such an emergency.

These are not the exact same frame but here's some quick screenshots to give an idea of the differences...

How do the opening credits look? Or the scene in the graveyard with the first zombie attack? Those were definite day time moments.

Fuk balls!!!

I would hope TT would be gracious enough to do a replacement program like Halloween 2 and Arachnophobia .

Also could Arrow possibly get the rights to this overseas?

Twilight Time releases "forgotten films" that otherwise would not get released on Blu-rays. The do not restore films themselves or deal in mainstream classics like Criterion. Criterion has existed since like 1986, almost 30 years?

Twilight Time is not responsible for the transfers, the studios do that in house as always and Sony/Columbia has a good track record with the previous TT releases. Calling NOTLD '90 sh!t or a subpar title that wouldn't sell when it's obvious from the posters on this page that it is a foundly remembered cult classic that has clearly sold very well is ridiculous.

That this is a bad transfer is obvious, but TT is only the messenger.

I cant do screenshots, but that scene isnt as bad. It's still a little dark, but the ugliness doesn't take over until she gets in the car and tries to drive away. Then the world turns blue.

A funny thing happened on the way to Sony Pictures annual BBQ...we dumped charcoal briquettes all over the NOTLD90 film cels. No matter, we'll just dump them off with Twilight Time

at least criterion works on the transfers. doesn't give TT any excuse not to as well

and if you re-read I mentioned sh!t movies, subpar movies, movies that don't sell, AND movies that the studios don't think will sell (which NOTLD falls under)

Yet 2 other vastly superior HD versions of the movie exist with the correct colors. Did Tom Savini and the crew go blind?

How many films on the "quality" level of Holy Man, The Crater Lake Monster and Ernest Goes To Camp have Twilight Time released? They're nothing like Mill Creek Entertainment or Echo Bridge.

The irony of this being the first copy to sell out before its released. Maybe people will be more hesitant the next time around and wait till reviews or screencaps go up before biting.

Twilight Time should be ashamed of themselves for even attempting to sell a transfer as shit as this. I have to imagine they're not completely blind and would see the transfer is recall-worthy atrocious. Shame on Sony of course for doing some an abominable job to begin with.

I don't know...I was rather impressed with the transfer myself. It's a keeper for me.
