not calling you out at all. some stated that the transfer is fine and to just adjust the brightness. my point is, why should you have to? if you had to then yes, its the transfer

Savini is in town this weekend for a horror convention. It sure would've been great to have him sign my copy. Maybe I'll just take a blank blu case and have him sign that and switch out the art and movie when it arrives next week.

It seems someone apparently chose to "colorize" this transfer which doesn't represent the original look of the film and this isn't a small tweak here and there. I never have to adjust my calibration for another film. Usually the standard works for me on all the Blus I've purchased.

You also have to wonder how many people live on a budget and were hoping copies would hold out until their next paycheck. The idea that there was plenty of time to order may not be true for all people.

Thanks that is all I wanted to know, because if that is what the video is supposed to look like then I have another project on my hands along with putting the Terminator LD PCM in sync with the new remastered video, so it looks like next week is going to be a busy week lol, I am going to wait until I see the Blu myself for sure but if it is that dark that is terrible, but again I really want to see it in person, and the screens I posted are a 720p screen of the HDTV version but I could use it for my color settings/template.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Unfortunety I don't have the equipment to do so. I just think its very odd that some are raving over this transfer while others are ridiculing it. Something is off here.

Panasonic VIERA for my main theater setup. The living room upstairs has a SONY which everything tends to look good on, but no HD sound.

Ok im sorry to be so blunt... but to those saying this looks ok... Have you either A: Never seen the film before? or B: Are you insane?

I just popped this in... the first 5 minutes are ok...then it turns blue. BLUE. Not a darkening of the image...not turning bright day scenes into a Dusk type scene... its BLUE.

Blue.

I'm getting a sickening feeling that some of those people may get another shot real soon. . . . . .I'm hoping that TT refunds the shipping as well.

They look nothing like what I have. Mine is bathed in blue, just like the screen caps that have been posted before.

well this thread has really taken on a life of his own.
just crazy to read so many conflicting takes on the same release.
seems clear that the color timing has been tweaked some, but to what extent is obviously proving much harder to establish.
I do know one thing--Sony is the entity responsible for what this bd looks like.
so please keep the praise or blame where it belongs.
in other words-not on TT.

I just watched about 30 minutes of it and this is been blown way out of proportion. It is dark but I changed my setting to "dynamic" and it looked perfect. Would I take part in a disc exchange? yes. Am I happy I have this blu right now? Yes.
