Until I see something from Savini saying HE chose this, your argument is invalid. Sorry.

Look at another one of TT's comments "If the film has had its color or brightness changed in any way, that was most likely at the filmmakers' request...they are usually asked to sign off on the transfers..."

that comment shows that Twilight Time has no idea if Savini or the filmmakers signed off on the transfer. They said "they are usually asked to sign off..."

So they dont even KNOW. They are guessing.

If it turns out there was a mistake in the transfer maybe they should do a recall. ,,darker or lighter it should be how the filmmakers wanted it
Why am I not surprised.

Savini does lots of conventions (another member said he is at a convention in his area this weekend) so somebody has to ask him about this, and we should be able to hear straight from the horse's mouth if he approved it or not.

If he did, there's not much left to be said. If not.....

Good man!

Glad I didn't pre-order this now! What a botch-job!

I don't Facebook, nor Twitter. I prefer to hear it from the horse's mouth. I don't even text!

yup, after comparing again, and reading TT response. complete bull crap. either they got a F@CKED up copy from Sony (highly unlikely) or someone screwed up at the encoding machine (most likely scenario).

Twilight Time has been inundated with horror collectors harrassing them ever since this released was first announced. Their previous customers were greatful older people who have actually seen the majority of their catalog and have purchased many of their movies. For the past month, it's been a whole lot of young people obsessed with 80's cult horror titles expecting hours of bonus features newly produced and for a dirt cheap price with 100,000 copies printed just so they don't have to order the first day the presale goes up. Twilight Time was unfamiliar with NOTLD '90 before Sony approached them for the release. They managed to keep their lights one without all of these new demanding fans. I'm sure they're perfectly happy sticking with a small loyal fanbase.

I prefer the darker tone myself. I don't like they way they've done it, because now blue is the only colour that makes an appearance. But the daytime scenes always seemed too bright and sunny. Maybe the intention was to alter this but then some tech guy fell asleep on the "blue" button.

Hopefully they'll recall and implement it better. My point being it is still a matter of opinion.

Pretty much. They're not exactly responding the way a professional and respectable company should be right now either with this whole passing the blame on mentality. Even if it's not their fault they should try and reassure their customers that they can return the product, and that they'll be getting in touch with Sony to see what the hell happened.

righhhhhhhhhhhht, so these poor guys don't know how to run quality control and their old fanbase (basically the ones who sucked everything up without question) are more beneficial (because they don't care about mistakes right???)

I wish he was here now for a convention , because I'd ask him myself. I talked to him before years ago, and he was relatively friendly.
