How many people have actually viewed it? While the screenshots don't look great, they could look completely different in motion. I don't want this to be another Indiana Jones fiasco. I will try to reserve judgment for when I watch.

have the disc right here. it's every bit as bad in motion as in the screens.

Well I took one of those screencaps. With my camera. Using my eyes. Which saw the images in motion.

But hey, power to you. Enjoy the movie.
Enjoy Night of the Blue Dead.

Only 3000 copies. Not out of the realm of possibility.

I don't get my copy until Oct 2nd, and based on these reviews I feel disappointed. This may go down as the worst transfer since Predator. If this site's review confirms it, I may return my copy.

Was just trying to get some perspective. I'm not saying it is or isn't, especially considering I've not watched it yet. It's been years since I've seen it, so I'm hoping it won't ruin my experience.

No, they don't. Expecting hours of special features (which cost money to produce or liscense), tens of thousands of copies printed (when most of them end up sitting in a warehouse unsold), and dirt cheap prices (when the movies they are releasing are decades old and the studio isn't even willing to risk money on them) are not valid points. It's what's wrong with American consumers. They want everything for free and even when they get it they still complain. Ask anyone who's ever worked in customer service.

He can be moody. I started seeing him at conventions in the late 1980's and he was super nice. After about 10 years he started getting grumpy. I've been at conventions where people asked him questions about Jason's behavior in some of the Friday The 13th movies as if he were a real person though. I'd get grumpy after dealing with those types of people all the time too.

I don't think the blue would bother a casual fan or someone who hasn't seen it before, though it's darker than the screencaps show. But, after watching it for 20 years and seeing this...

the studios jobs as business's are to bring us a product we want at the price we want. if they don't, they deserve to go out of business. one of the first things you're taught in a basic economics class. I have no compuction about watching a company die because they can't bring what the consumers wanted.

I've met him numerous time (at least two dozen), and even spent a couple fairly extended periods of time with him, off of the convention sites.

Tom can be moody as all hell, and when he is, he is occasionally rude. That doesn't excuse it, that just saying that I know what I'm (possibly) in for when I approach him.

What exactly did you say? You were probably being rude to them, so you know the saying: What goes around, comes around. lol
