Oh great their one of those companies. Why can't they be professional about these things? They're never getting another dime from me, I don't care what they release.

It's what's wrong with American consumers. They want everything for free and even when they get it they still complain. Ask anyone who's ever worked in customer service.

my worry with THEM now is how unprofessional they are being. instead of being simple and say they will look into it and will accept refunds, they are passing blame, deleting comments etc. VERY unprofessional

The rifle and gun shots sound different.

Another glitch or change.

At 1:10:11, Cooper runs out of bullets while shooting at Ben. You can barely hear the hammer click when he runs out. On the DVD it's easily heard.

Are you sure you're looking at the right thread on their page? There are a couple of different ones with complains. I see a few posts from you in the second one down with the screencap.

People are way overreacting to some of the screenshots in this thread and first impressions. The DVD is in no way a reference for this film, it was likely made from a laserdisc-era transfer. The BD transfer for the most part is very solid, if a tad dark in some areas. It looks like people might need to alter their gamma setting for their display, if you have a calibrated display, to lighten the image up a bit. The transfer was likely done at the incorrect gamma level.

Some of the strident opinions in the thread seem over the top and possibly trying to affect the secondary market for this disc. I have absolutely no dog in this fight, as I bought a single copy that will likely stay in my collection permanently.

What are the chances this is a botched transfer and us fans getting a replacement?

They're probably just getting stressed out over all of this. I can understand that. I'm sure they will find a way to resolve the issue. People just need to chill out and be patient.

Me, neither. I will never support this company again, regardless of how this is handled in the end. They've shown that they cannot be trusted to release a quality product, and with the biggest title they've ever released, no less!

I want a refund, and I'm out.

being stressed is no excuse for being unprofessional, like I said, instead of being diplomatic they are acting like a bunch of amateurs

Uh, who says Twilight Time is dying? They've managed to keep their doors open selling forgotten films of yesteryear like Picnic, Swamp Water, and Bell, Book, and Candle. I think they can do without the people demanding Critters, Ghoulies, and Brainscan.

so what, if they produce this type of stuff, except this type of fan. simple business. maybe if they refuse these types of titles other companies like Mill Creek or Image will get the titles instead of a "boutique" company.

it seems like you're waaaaaaaaaaaay to willing to defend a company's poor actions. if they **** up, it's their job to eat it and re-do it or suffer the consequences.

If there isn't going to be a disc replacement program in the future, I think that the vast majority will not condone that decision, but something tells me that is going to be one of those deals where... if you want to own the movie, you keep the disc you got. If you're not happy, they'll let you return it.

That's going to be the hand, I'm afraid. I hope I'm wrong.

And some of you are just panic stricken. Take a valium and calm down. The issue will be resolved. They're not going to take your money and run. Someone even mentioned earlier that they're accepting returns even if the movie is open. They're very well aware of the problem and are offering refunds to people who are not satisfied.

nice post, very well said.. people tend to take screenshots a little too serious. they should just judge the film themselves.. when i first starting collecting bds i laid off a few titles i wanted because people said they were bad.. good thing i caved in eventually and purchased those titles, because i thouught they looked great!!
