I am a defender of ANY good transfer, but just because it's Twilight Time does not mean I don't call it as I see it.

But let's just look at the situation, shall we? First we have, I don't know, twenty pages or so of people saying really pithy things like, "I got mine today!" and "I didn't get mine today!" and "Mine came at 7:08!" and "I got a shipping notice!" That was twenty exciting pages, I tell you. Then we immediately had two posts from people who'd seen the disc and those two posts were extremely positive. Then there were some who thought it was crap and posted screen caps to prove it. Then we had several people say their Blu-ray disc's image looked nothing like the screen caps. Then we had a whole slew of people angry BASED on the screen caps and not the actual disc.

And then we had you. Who felt it necessary to bring my name up. A little obsessed?
Well said.

You've got the disc and I haven't, so obviously you're in a better position to say. But if this tint starts when the first zombie attacks, and ends 20 minutes later, then it occurs between 00:05:00 and 00:25:00. Some of the proper caps above take place during this time frame, and I do not see a blue tint. Just an extreme darkening of the image. Tony Todd certainly doesn't look blue.

These are a huge difference compared to the others, which looked like they'd been dipped in blue paint beforehand
Have to agree here. If I can be honest in how I feel, I always looked at the DVD version as "too cheerful". It was way too bright and it exposed certain effects weaknesses. Savini once wrote that he never had the chance to do the things he wanted to on this film. It could be possible that those scenes were scenes he was not happy with being so bright. The "blue" as people are calling it actually looks right for a dusk to evening scene and if it was that way theatrically and on DVD no one would be complaining. I understand we hate updates to our favorite movies but imo this change makes the film a bit scarier and darker to the tome of the original.

Night of the Living Dead 90s version is the "biggest" title they've ever released? Man, I must live on a different planet because some B-movie from the 1990s is not something I would ever consider to be a "big" title. Budget - around four million. Gross, around five million = box-office loser. But you know what the most frightening thing about this Night of the Living Dead is? The people who are admitting to seeing this film over 100 times. THAT'S scary.

He def looks blue when he initially gets of the car (11:30) and into the house ...also while in the house. At exactly 27:50 you will note an obvious color change in the film. The transfer is NOT an DVD upconvert nor does it look like one. Looks really good,.but for the 20 minutes or so in question.

Ok since so many people are complaining (I personally don't see anything wrong with the screenshots, they just look dark not blue) I want to know who LIKES the blu ray quality?

I'm sure you're right. I guess I'll just have to wait for the reviews and my own copy to make a final decision.

I like it

And I have to respectfully disagree with some here I don't see blue I see darkness. At no point did I see Ben or anyone as blue colored.

That is what I always recommend...for people to make up their own minds . The fight between Tony Todd's character vs the first zombie is particularly problematic.

I haven't seen the film for awhile now, but isn't that fight this scene?

Like I say, doesn't really look blue there. Just dark.

Who is at fault for the butchered audio?

Obviously you couldn't pause for just a moment and actually read my post on the previous page. If you had, why you wouldn't look quite so ridiculous now.

I just finished watching the Blu-ray and it's definitely darker than the DVD, but not overly blue like some of the posted screenshots.

Well there should be quite a few cheap copies going now that this release has been branded as inferior here...

I seriously doubt it. Most of the people purchasing off ebay will not be forum frequenters. If they were, they would have picked up a copy during the order window.

I was talking about the unhappy owners here selling off their copies.

Ah I see. I'm sure they'll still clear a tidy profit if they put it up for auction, rather than BIN
