Yes, that is true. I mentioned that yesterday when I compared them both. I thought it was just me. All the gunshots are off imo and need to be fixed.

Also, if a recall occurs what happened to poor people who got scalped for $100?

As someone who is not familiar with the DVD and haven't seen the movie in 20 years, mine looks good. The cemetery shots look like the end of the day, and each scene gets consistently darker. It simply looks like the filmakers wanted to change the time of day. I guess we will know for sure when/if Sony or Savini respond...

remember these are just low rez screen adjusts just to see, I really need my copy(which won't be here until tomorrow or Tuesday) and I need to look at my DVD.
That looks so much better! I'm eagerly anticipating to see what you can do once you have the blu-ray!

Thanks, but this will not happen if there is an exchange obviously, but I am going to bet right now that there will be none, this is what it will be.

Looks good, vidjunkie! As for the gunshots, maybe the DVD audio could be synced with the Blu-Ray as a manually selected audio stream.

Your fixes are what i expected the blu-Ray too look like.

If it can come out like your screenshots... I would definitely buy it again once the fix is made.

yeah i dont see an exchange either sure u can return it and get your money back but i highly doubt they will actually go above and beyond and fix the discs that could take a long time. unless sony themselves decide to release it on their own.

but i am missing out on the controversy my copy has oct 1st expected delivery but last scan was at denver processed sort facilty at 1:20 am sept 29th no further scans that city is about 2 hours away i hope i get it tomorrow

No greedy speculators are just greedy. They will sell this if they can. Don't try to pretend these people have morals.

I hope the greedy bastards who scooped up more than two copies take a bath on the discs... since word is spreading like Wild Fire. I do see it as 50/50 some people dig it, some don't and as someone who was 20 when it hit theaters, owns the VHS and DVD, I just can't see who would approve such a drastic change.

Some people are saying it is trying to emulate The Walking Dead, TWD doesn't have that amount of filtering/blue tint to it.

Someone seriously dropped the ball.

As I have stated I do not have my copy yet, but I am reading strange things here, so is the coloring issue throughout the entire film(like a blanket setting) or is it only in parts? I was assuming the whole thing but it seems I may be assuming wrong?

Thanks, just trying to get ready for this project assuming there will be no exchange program, for which I highly doubt will happen.

Yeah I don't know if the people paying 100 are big into forums or even a simple google search.

the color issue doesn't appear throughout the entire movie. it's just in certain parts. other than the blue parts the movie really does look great. at least to me.

I dunno it was pretty Blu on my Plasma, I had to shift everything that was set when it was done professionally.

My LCD Monitor may bemaking it more Blue, but it is very dark and extremely filtered towards blue on my LG

Just finished watching my copy and I absolutely LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

This is now the definitive version of the film. Anyone that thinks otherwise needs glasses.

You people really need to learn how to calibrate your TV's.

I agree with you. Unfortunately, I was so focused on the issues that I got ZERO enjoyment from the movie. I will watch it today and will try to just focus on the actual film and ignore everything else...including this thread .
