Agree. I watched it last night and i'm not upset. Some scenes the skin complection looks waxed or something, but outside of that i'm happy with the transfer. I will add i'm slightly colorblind, so some of the color issues I might not catch. But i'm all for trying to maintain true to the original.

actually i think the color issue appears more than i thought. it's very subtle in some spots but if you look at their skin tones sometimes they appear to have a purple tint. the last time i checked skin wasn't purple.

Who says they can't re-wrap them and then re-sell them at $30 a piece, or even $25 with a note that they've been viewed once? SAE has sold used CDs at a slightly lower price for years now, and with Blu-ray having a protective coating, odds are a "slightly used" and "new" copy look absolutely identical at a glance. Re-wrap that puppy and you'd never know...

Tom Savini has spoken,

Don May Jnr of Synapse has told him the BD is very blue.

Tom's response was,

"BLUE"

He's looking into it

Copies are selling for a decent amount on ebay so if you do want to return it, it's probably best to try and resell it first, perhaps even being honest and saying you didn't like the PQ, etc..

Seems like the people that say they liked the film get blasted. Let people find enjoyment out of something, even if you don't. To those who don't enjoy it, I'm sorry, but don't ruin it for people who actually did. TT already offered you a refund if you didn't find it satisfactory, so I'm not sure what else they can do in the short term.

I kind of agree. I wouldn't want to ruin it for anyone who still likes it despite knowing about the issues. Now TT apologists who will blindly eat up anything fed to them on the other hand are another thing altogether, but at least they're easier to spot.

I just don't see it. The Blu-ray is darker, sure, but the only way I can make it blue is to change the color temperature on my television to a cool setting. Even then it's not as blue as the screenshots that have been posted.

I respect both sides. There are, however, a lot of people that did enjoy it. It's been years since I've seen the film, so I won't try to cover it up if it bugs the hardcore fans of NOTLD90.

Well, you see the problem. I come from a planet where words have meanings. Biggest doesn't mean speed of sell out, at least to me. Biggest means most well known, at least to me. Biggest could, I suppose, mean other things, but if you meant fastest sell out then you should have been specific, smart guy.

Not to single anyone out, but... does anyone here calibrate both their TV and their PC monitors? Heck, spending 5 minutes eyeballing test patterns like THIS are a start, even if nothing will ever come especially close to the results you'll get with a colorimeter that can measure things like light output and gamma curves.

The default settings for TVs and PC screens tend to be wildly different to start with. With that in mind, your TV and your PC experience will always be different unless you calibrate them both.

Maybe you can take some pictures of your TV during some of the same scenes being shown as blue on here?

To those of you who are returning your copy, will Twilight Time refund your shipping cost and pay for return shipping?

I know they're a small company, but the customers shouldn't be forced to pay any costs for Twilight Time's mistake.

People forget that Sony did the same thing to Coppola's Dracula.

What if Sony approved the transfer? Shouldn't they be liable? I'm not a TT apologist, but does anyone really know who is at fault?
