True. I think that's why everyone needs to take a step back and relax. This stuff doesn't resolve itself overnight and people are demanding it be fixed as soon as possible.

It appears to be going both ways since those that don't like the changes are also getting blasted. I'd say they're getting blasted much more than those that like the change or could care less. Reading other forums and TT's facebook page there is a lot of immaturity and name calling going on which isn't called for; it's like it's one forum against another.

But you're right, everyone has their own opinion and if you like the changes then that's fine and if you don't that's fine too.

There definitely have been some changes made when compared to other releases. The transfer is darker than before although not as dark or blue as some pictures make it out to be. Of course, it seems some of the comparisons appear to be much more drastic when put side-by-side with the much lighter pictures. Psicon's screencaps are much closer to what I see on my set. It also isn't a blanket change throughout the whole film. During the beginning of the film it's much lighter out and it gradually gets darker as the film progresses to the point where Barbara reaches the house. Toward the end of the film the picture becomes much lighter again. Based on this, it would seem reasonable that someone conscience choice to make the change.

Here in the UK we were really stuffed with this one as with import tax and PO charges it would have been out of most peoples reach. So the other day i paid £2 for the SD DVD of this movie..........rather pleased i did now.

Yeah I took those pics and posted them in this thread yesterday. Im glad people are using them to see just how extreme a difference this is. Heres hoping all turns out how it should once TT speaks with Sony.

Can everyone just chill the hell out already. The back and fourth bickering is getting out of hand in here and it's going to end up getting the thread closed or suspensions from the forums. I realize people are upset but it's no reason to attack each other.

I agree, i just think that it's frustration due to people looking forward to and paying a premium for this release. I am sure the answers will come and if there is a problem TT will do the right thing with this being such a small run.

If it werent for the color issues and the darkness, you can tell the bluray would look fantastic. Lots of detail.

Did this with my camera and the colors are accurate. I checked to make sure, the blu push goes on even after Cooper shows up. The BLU is on top, DVD on bottom.

I noticed that too when watching it last night. The black and white broadcast had a blue tint to it.

"Just a quick note to those folk disappointed with the Blu-ray transfer of Night of the Living Dead: Today is Sunday, and we won't be able to speak with any of the studio team until tomorrow. However, we are very limited in what we can do. If it is determined that the Blu-ray is exactly what was signed off by the filmmakers and / or, other involved personnel, then we will be sure this accurately reflects everyone's intentions. On the other hand, should it be discovered that some error occurred, somewhere between telecine and master, then that would be another matter. We will know the answer in a matter of days...in the meantime all we can do is have SAE refund consumers who want to return their discs...

Well I can really see what you guys are talking about. The original theatrical trailer is open and bright with a warm country summer feel to it. I suppose this is the required proof of what the film looked like in its previous incarnations from theatrical to VHS to DVD to HD on demand. At the BluRay stage they decide to alter a 20 year old film to "make it better"???? If Savini had nothing to do with this decision, I suspect the youngsters working at the studios transferring this material be more knowledgable and experienced and research the project before taking it on themselves to mutilate a film that has a fan base of over 20 years who love this film...And it will be mostly the die hard fans who shell out money for this special limited edition.
