My post you are responding to was posted BEFORE TT's latest announcement where they said they will be getting in touch with Sony this week. I know, hard to keep up with the timeline of everything. Maybe just stick with recent pages?

The "blueness" really gets noticeable during the first zombie attack. I wouldn't analyze that screenshot too much since I don't have the equipment to give better pics. I think the most obvious difference is that the first pic looks earlier in the day while the second looks like it's from a few hours later.

Here's another:

The one with the progress par and pause icon is the Blu-ray.

Ed is just a Customer Service Representative for SAE. He has nothing to do with Twilight Time's HD transfers of their blu-ray releases. I hope no one contact and accuse him for this matter because, it's not his fault.

Nope, the bottom pic is from the blue. That's the status bar as found on the actual blu-ray.

Nobody was complaining about the beginning of the film. It's later into the film that the change is drastic.

For me, no. Not at all.I think its a major mistake. It looks totally unnatural. I mean obviously it'll be what it is. But listening to the commentary, it doesn't seem like it was his intent. He refers to the ground fog in the opening scene and it being morning. Looks like morning to me. It can't possibly be evening 5 minutes later. He also refers to action happening in "broad daylight" before night time, unlike the original film. Maybe he changed his mind? But, give me no other choice and ill live with it! It least it was released. That's all I gotta say.

I see differences in colour tones there, but nothing I'd 100% say made a difference in the timeframe? I'm not trying to be difficult, I think it's hard to make out from those pics. I get why people are pissed, the thing I'd always loved about NOTLD '90 is the weirdo, surreal colour scheme in those early scenes in the cemetary - that dreamy, hyperreal green grass and blue skies, like that awful Robin Williams movie TOYS - but it's hard to tell just what's wrong with these two? I mean, I don't even know which ones supposed to be worse?

like I said before the color change is slightly noticeable in mostly just the zombie scenes an what I really find interesting is one person out of all the people posting actually posted their actual tv with the images on it. cause not one other person on here has done that cause ill tell you right now your tv an player definitely play a part in what this looks like yea it stinks they did some alterations that weren't necessary I m a little disappointed but what can you do but wait an see cause I have the vhs dvd an my friend has the laser disc and I saw it on the big screen this is one of my top 5 all time zombie movies but patience is key we just have to wait an see what happens an people should actually be glad it even got considered for blu ray release but I agree its a little disappointing that the camera sound was taken out at the end

What bums me out is that in the comments on TT's Facebook message about waiting to ask Sony about this problem is that someone posted up comparison pics of the bluray and dvd and TT replied to it and said that the shot's weren't as bad as the shots were showing. So there might already be some denial going on on their end
=(

Agreed. I was mostly trying to demonstrate that this color differences aren't something that just kick in at a specific moment. There are noticeable differences from the very first scene. By the time Barbara gets to the house it's pretty severe.

The blueness of the sky in both pics is way off though ... what settings are you using on your television?

Can you grab a comparison around the 55:29 mark?

The first 5 minutes of the movie look fine to me. No issue. Its a tad darker but nothing to scream about. Its pretty much after she crashes the car into the tree that the tint really starts showing and then just gets progressively worse. It gets a little better when Cooper and them come upstairs but then gets bad again soon after. The final daylight scenes look good too. Though they are missing those camera sounds.

yeah, the first 5 minutes or so are great, as you said, when she crashes the car and gets out that I first started noticing it. however many of the closeups in the house arent' nearly as bad
