Ah come on, it's just a Blu-ray. Not only did John Trent have to contend with a new blue world, that old bag next to him wouldn't shut up about the depression.

I agree. I've been avoiding reading BluRayFiend's posts because of this. It really bothers me when people don't use punctuation on internet forums.

Cheers for that. That means that the letter I have from Parcelforce asking for money will be for my The Walking Dead "Zombie Head"

Wasn't sure if it was that or my NOTLD90 disc.

This could very realistically be the end of Twilight Time.

It is clear that when the film was transferred (possibly a couple of years ago or more), a choice was made about darkening the late afternoon transition to dusk and then night. The transition looks perfectly natural, but it may not be how it was presented previously on VHS, laserdisc, DVD, etc. We don't know. We are not privy to the rationale of each individual transfer and do not know whose choices this new transfer represents. A likely assumption is at least one of the filmmakers. Now, we suppose as with everything, there is a possibility an error could have occurred somewhere along the master conversion chain, and that is what we will proceed to clarify tomorrow. But if it turns out that this is the exact master that was signed off on, then all we will be able to do is simply refund anyone's money who wishes to return their copy.

well, other companies have done errors again (of course it's not Twilight Time's fault), and I don't see the end of them..

I don't think SAE will agree to honor partial refunds! Either the customer keep the blu-ray, or return it for a full refund.

They didn't do such small batches to a small group of intensely selective OCD people.

People may not be so quick to pre-order now, but this won't affect their business. If reviews for Christine or any other future cult titles confirm all is well, they'll sell out no problem.

inaccurate comparisons my ass. i've seen this with my own two eyes. TT needs to actually watch each version before making lame comments like that.

what a slap in the face....

"We don't know". Really? Well, I wasn't about attacking them but, uh... No one at twilight time had ever seen the movie before? They don't KNOW how it's looked in every other format over the last 20 years and they're selling limited editions of it? Forget that.

Not in the least. Studios have inadvertently produced defected blu-rays, but it didn't interfere, nor hinder their business. Periodic imperfections are to be expected in all manufacturing companies, not only blu-rays and DVDs.

Well they're right. Most comparisons don't look like the few accurate caps posted here. Note their use of the word "most"

TT are two people, and cult horror is not their forte.

Any comparison I've made have been with screenshots that represent what I've seen on the screen in front of me. The only thing I've changed is the size.
Having both the DVD and blu-ray right here I can say that what I see in my comparisons matches what I see on screen.

That's called "passing the buck" and that's some BS right there. Own up to the mistake.

Twilight Time established a different report with their customers than any other studio.

I sure hope so and to get realistic good old prices of films. These $ony titles will look exactly the same if Echo Bridge released them at a fiver per title.

All of this news has been really overwhelming. I certainly hope more questions are answered tomorrow as Twilight Time proposed. If Sony did indeed sign off on this transfer then I'll have no issue excepting the look of the film as it is. I'm just hoping that after the dust settles on this title, Twilight Time goes into future titles, especially "Christine", with way more research done on them before releasing them to the lucky 3,000. Mistakes/errors like this are good wake-up calls to companies and those that take them seriously and correct the issue for the better in the future is like a blessing in disguise. Here's hoping for the best!
