Well, they're from here: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...34#post6536334

I'm just interested in seeing if a decrease in blue, and an increase in brightness and contrast to compensate for the later scenes will be good. For me, that looks pretty good and even the still with Bill Moseley as Johnny, from the good part of the disc, doesnt' look badly affected by the same changes.

It wasn't a major problem for me because, no blu-ray movie is worth getting upset, and give myself an ulcer or a heart attack over. I have more important things to be concerned about in my life, than to worry about a blu-ray release. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, life goes on.

Absolutley! Somebody fell asleep at the wheel at TT when it comes to this movie and it's transfer...

"I have not watched yet as i did not know that i cant watch movies from the U.K. here in the states! Lesson learned. Pass this info on, Please!!
I have reordered and am waiting for arrival. I found it in Blue-Ray at a high cost. Only 3000 copies made! Will put post up when i watch it. Before halloween 2012. "

Hmm. TT posted this response to a facebook comment about 2 hours ago:

Thank you so much, Kathy, we really appreciate that...this is a strange one. As much as we have heard (and seen) from vocal fans about how much they disapprove of the film's changed look--and we certainly sympathize with the purist mentality--we have also heard privately and publicly from an equal number of fans who love it. In the end, whatever happens this run of 3,000 will be a hugely collectible item for those lucky enough to have obtained a copy, and its value will doubtless skyrocket in the coming months.
I find it more than a little odd that they would say that last part.

I'm getting "Deadly Spawn" thread deja vu from this comment...

What a bunch of douche's.

"This thing that fans hate and that they paid $30 for will undoubtedly become a collectible...that they can burn in a raging fire."

I think they're trying to get people to thing "wow I should really hang on to this instead of returning it!!!" it's damage control

Pretty candid, eh?

I imagine it's an attempt to keep at least some of the dissatisfied customers from sending the disc back. Just a guess.

Well, they presumably expect Sony to say "that's the transfer you're getting, suckers!" and so want to minimise the amount of returns they get. Havng said that, I can imagine discs sold at the same $35 price tag on SAE's site, with a notice saying the colour has been changed, would still sell to those hungry enough.

If there are an equal number of fans who love the blue tint they do not seem to be on any message boards I frequent. It must be nice to live in a self assuring world.

They really are doing themselves no favours with comments like that, but we shall see.

The best way to make a statement is for everyone to just return their discs and let Twilight Time choke on them. If that happened I bet their business model would change to accommodate "purists".

Edit: At least they are acknowledging an intentional change in coloring.

Best not do that until you find out if this was intentional or not.

Their statement seems to imply Twilight Time believes the tint change was intentional and significantly different from the original feature.
