No, they definitely do. But it's like this.. Say you get sold bootleg goods on eBay, are you going to get more angry at the guy who sold it to you or the guy who sold it to him? |

Fair enough about the quote. But I felt that particular quote was a bit misleading. Maybe it's just me? |

![]() All kidding aside, so melodramatic. People can buy what they want. I couldn't care less. I'm just stating the facts that they rip people off with their Blu-ray prices. We aren't talking cars here. Cars and Blu-ray discs have nothing to do with one another. If you want to spend $100 on a piece of shit, more power to you. Maybe sooner....rather than later, TT will be dead like the zombies on their "laced in gold" Night of the Living Dead "Blu-ray". |

FYI, to all of you who were unhappy with the blu like me:
Im watching the HD version on vudu right now and its friggin beautiful. So beautiful..so detailed..so bright ![]() Definitely recommend downloading this. Really does look great. May not be as good as a bluray but its a lot better than the dvd. Definitely worth it. |

You selectively excerpted one line without mentioning this line from the same review:
All in all, simply a spectacular job by Columbia-Sony and another incredible release from Twilight Time from an image standpoint alone. The Bye Bye Birdie ]review is one of the very few Twilight Time reviews where I have not explicitly mentioned the transfers come from the studio--I had thought after this long, everyone knew, but evidently not. ![]() But I have never, ever stated in any way that Twilight Time had "a hand in the transfers." |

You can either just download the movie right off there for 13 bucks or if you take your bluray to the photo center at walmart, its only 2 bucks and they throw it on your vudu account. Was relatively pain free. |

Yeah, on the computer its only SD. IF you have a ps3, you can get the HDX copy. Thats what they automatically give you if you bring in the bluray to walmart.

ok, lets try to settle something
![]() No announcement by the proper sources Sony, TT, Savini or their DP of photography stating that this presentation matches what was shown theatrically means that it does not. The consumer does not need to "prove" that it has been changed, the question has been raised and if not answered it can only mean that those in charge tinkered with the transfer and changed it. A member made a very valid point that home video version have been around for a very long time and there are no complaints of any color timing changes. You can see at 27:50 a scene where the blue/dark filtering was not applied and it looks different from the rest of the movie...carry on ![]() Last edited by Blu Titan; 10-04-2012 at 12:58 AM. |

Another thing that I'm wondering about. We know the cinematographer Frank Prinzi was involved in some way when the master for this was done in 2010. Are we in agreement here that this master was likely being primed for a 20th Anniversary Blu-ray release? I think the timing would certainly indicate that. Now, If that's the case then I have to question what has transpired since then? Not only was this movie shelved and no 20th Anniversary edition released, but it was handed off to Twilight Time instead of a wide release some 2 years later. If I had to guess, I'd say someone higher up at Sony was not pleased with the end result and decided it wasn't a quality enough product to deserve a 20th Anniversary release, or even a wide release in general. Thoughts?
