Trailers for movies have been around for ages. I don't know of any trailer that exists that was not the intended theatrical look. The fact that the trailer on the discs proves what it looked like theatrically.
Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. The trailer uses day for night blue tinting for the scenes that appear in the opening scene while the actual film itself does not.

Also why would you assume that anybody had ever seen NOTLD '90 on DVD?

But saying things on Facebook like "they are sure to skyrocket in value in the coming months" doesn't exactly discourage people from scalping in the future.
Returned discs don't matter because they are getting far too many requests to purchase the returned discs and have even implimented a policy not to sell returned copies to those who already have purchased one and only 1 per customer. This was posted about a week ago.

A large number of returns could have some impact especially if TT is refunding customers for return shipping. However, based on the small number of returns currently reported I'd agree this doesn't have much of an impact at the moment.

I know I meant they are encouraging people to flip future titles like Christine. Basically telling people they are an "invest".

Hmm.....kind of the way I feel reading posts from the tools and clowns who find their way into every TT thread in this forum (not you, so don't take it that way please). By comparison, the Facebook guy seems like a nice enough fella, a harmless super fan. Just enthusiastic about a tiny company getting catalog films he wants released to blu-ray, to the point of being a bit over the top at times, but he is grateful and doesn't insult people, or call them names, or engage in flame wars with others.

Yet here the mods certainly have their hands full, trying to keep a lid on the jack-in-the-box of bad behavior that threatens to burst out from time to time. We have had some members casting insults at other members - one even maliciously calling out another member multiple times as being a plant and a schill. Some have repeatedly bashed Ed from SAE and - what I find even worse - others chiming in about how Ed is a tool even though, you know, they don't have personal experience, just read it from other members on a TT thread. It goes on and on; sometimes it can be entertaining in a Dan Akroyd calling Jane an ignorant slut kind of way, but most of the time it isn't. Fortunately, the vast majority of us are kids who play nice on a virtual playground, which is why I love to come here and share thoughts with fellow movie lovers.

EDIT: And for the record, I have traded emails with Ed and spoken on the phone to him. He is a fine guy, who went out of his way to accommodate a request when he absolutely did not have to, nor did I expect him to, but he did it and was damned pleasant about it. His emails to me are short and to the point, but never rude. I can only imagine the kinds of emails and phone calls he gets daily, based on what I read in the TT threads. My hat is off to him. I think some here would burst into tears - or finally crack and go postal - if they ever had to deal with a phone sales rep from one of the New York City camera stores

Mine were shipped on September 28, 2012 and I received them today. That was just standard shipping to Australia.

Not tryin to be negative here. First let me say that I agree with everything you've said here. This thread has become ridiculous. You would think adults would act like adults, but not the case apparently.

Now, I do think its dumb to talk bad about Sae customer service if you haven't even had an experience with them. But I had an issue and had to email them, and Ed replied, and he was about the rudest person I've dealt with for any customer service place.

Some people on this forum are acting like as if this Night of the Living Dead blu-ray release was the only thing they're living for, and they have made a mountain out of a molehill of this situation. For a B movie at that! It's ridiculous. SAE have given the customers an option: return the blu-ray for a full refund, or keep it. But no! They still want to complain...If I were Ed, I would be rude too, because it doesn't make sense when people are constantly contacting him and other SAE Customer Service representatives, and b***h about this blu-ray release unnecessary. It's not their fault. They should be grateful because, SAE didn't have to offer a refund at all! This thread is will never cease because, certain people just don't know when to stop, go on with their lives.

I have to agree. SAE is just the seller and should be praised for their handling of this.

Well I wasn't talking about for NotLD. I was fine with the movie. A previous transaction.

No, I wasn't referring to you specifically! I was speaking about the matter in general.

Then you should be out of business too. Sorry, but there is never a reason to be rude. I've had to deal with constant stupidity at my job, but I would never be rude to a customer. That makes no sense; I don't care how many times he has to address the same things or whether or not the customer is rude. It's stupid and just bad business to be rude.

Where are you in Canada? I live in Ontario and I received mine this Tuesday. If you are in the West, it might be very soon.

Ya Vancouver area myself. Been checking the mail everyday and this 28 year old is starting to feel like a bummed out kid who didn't get a super Nintendo for Christmas back in the day

I'm in Vancouver too and paid for the premium shipping and got it on Tuesday.

As for the blue tint, it's not really that bad. I had my tv set as movie mode and the blue tint wasn't as bad as one of those screenshot was.
